Hey guys. Just thought I check back in it's been a while. I'm from Morris county has my sleeve done 7-18-15 at Morristown medical by Dr. Nusbaum. Him and his office staff are great. I go for follow ups once a month. I've only lost 60 pounds so far and these last couple months I've been stagnant. So I'm Now backdown to 2 protein shakes a day and a small dinner. Trying to shed these last 30-40 pounds ☺️☺️.

North Bergen is like 30 minutes away from me I think. But yea staying hydrated is the hardest for me. Some days I can drink 5 bottles of water. Others I struggle to finish 1. Everyday is a new challenge. As if right now eating soft foods. Only thing added is I can eat ground chicken or turkey. I try to keep my diet pretty restricted tho since I don't eat meat. I get my protein thru shakes

it's going good. But honestly I feel hungry ( or maybe thirsty) all the time. But of course I get full off a bite of food ...but yup I'm in jersey. I had my sleeve don't at Morristown medical center...where are you looking to get yours done ?

I know the feeling. Im 6 weeks out tomorrow and don't regret it one bit ????

I had diarrhea for the 1st week post op. My doctor said it was normal since I wasn't eating anything solid.

Yes !!! Omg yes ! I'm newly sleeved so I've only lost 25 pounds so far. But I can really notice the difference but when I saw my supervisor for my part time job ( I haven't been there for a month) she actually asked me " what happened you look chunky" I literally wanted to cry. So I deff know the feeling. When I get to 50 pounds if anybody says I look chunky o might just snap

I was sleeved on the 18th. And so far so good. This purée stage is driving me crazy on Thursday I get to move on to things like soft fish and soft fruits. Oh yea and I also lost about 25 pounds since being sleeved. ????

I'm from northern jersey. Morris county I'm looking for one as well. I would love to get together and actually talk to others who have gotten this done. I've only been able to speak with nurses and doctors. Nobody who's actually been through it.

Hi fellow sleevers! I'm new to the group. I'm in northern jersey am I'm going to have my surgery at Morristown medical center. Anybody used Dr. Ward or Dr. Nusbaum? Those are the 2 surgeons I was deciding between. I'll figure it out when I see dr. N on Monday. This is a scary experience and I'm looking for all the support I can get. My family keeps telling me that I don't need the sleeve being that I don't look " that big". But I'm 5'5 245lbs. I may not " look that big" but I'm unhealthy and I want to prevent any weight related issues that run in my family. Am I wrong for wanting surgery? Ugh. Sorry I'm all over the place , I have nobody else to talk to ????

Hello fellow sleevers. Today I'm 6 days out and I can say that these past days have been tiring. From extreme gas pains to the unbearable headache I have daily. The worst part for me is that I have to have a blood thinner twice a day for 2 weeks (injection). I HATE needles so sometimes it's really hard to do it. Today was the 1st time I drank some Protein (since I was on Clear liquids for a week) and I seem to have a little bit more energy. One thing I can say that's getting me a little down is being in the house so much. Not doing my makeup ect.....I CANNOT wait to see my nut tomorrow so I can out on my full face and go to the mall after ( luckily the mall Is across from the office). One more thing that has me nervous. I rolled over yesterday morning and it felt like I tore my incisions but they looked fine. Anybody ever experience that? How did you guys cope the 1st week?? About me: Age :23 Ht: 5'4 Surgery day wt: 247 Current weight : 235

Currently in my room recovering. Pain is getting better due to walking. Unable to walk to much because I have no energy. Only able to take s few sips at a time dispute my extreme dry mouth. Can't wait until this 1st day is over. Praying for a better day two ????

yea she did. My new nurse asks me every 4 hours if I need pain meds. I like nurses that do their job and not give their opinions.

yea the nurse tried to tell me stop taking pain meds. Like for what if I in pain I need them. So far I feel pretty ok tho. Biggest thing right now is that I can't pee even tho I have that feeling.Work on going pee... you don't want to get a catheter. I was all worried about that and thought they automatically gave one and glad they only do it if you can't go. I went as soon as i got to my room yea I definitely didbt wang a catheter but now I can't stop peeing. Every hour. It hurts to get in and out of bed. Then gas pains just woke me up (245am) so I'm walking around drinking tea sending you guys updates

I got my surgery time. 10am. Super nervous. This clear liquids diet has me so drained. And I'm STARVING. What I would do for just a scoop of peanut butter !! Tomorrow cannot come fast enough.

UM FREAKING OUT. I'm on clear liquids and my surgery is tomorrow. I was so hungry I ended up eating a peanut. Just one. Im so scared that I might have messed something up I've been doing so good all day. PSA: I wasn't on a pre op diet just one day prior I had to be on clear liquids and i couldn't even do that. So discouraged so close to surgery.

it at 10. Thanks for your reply. I was really freaking out. I chugged like 3 bottles of water and it made me nauseous. Nothing to eat or drink after 12 so Ima drink as much as I can until then. This hunger is killing me.

I tried and I can't sleep. I ended up eating a peanut now I'm worrying almost in tears that I messed my surgery ????????

I'm schd for June 18th and I get more nervous about my surgery everyday. I call my surgeons off almost daily to ask questions that keep popping in my head lol. Anybody else getting sleeved around the same time so we can keep in contact. Age: 23 Ht: 5'4 Cw: 250

omg yes one week from today scary isn't it. But I was in convent station. I still work in Morristown. For the hospital so that's where I'm having my surgery . Where are you having your surgery at?

How did your consult go? My weight loss is going slow, but I've been under a lot of stress with my mom being very sick and having to put her on hospice. everything went amazing. I'm actually schd for surgery June 18th.
