    Nosey co-worker

Agree with @@CloserToFine and Carolina. It is definitely coming from inside her. I would look her dead in the eye and ask how does she know anything about it since you didn't tell anyone. Then I would tell her that you would really prefer not to discuss it at work and would appreciate her cooperation. If word gets out then you know it is from her and I would report her also. Good luck with your procedure!!

    starting journey to life

Hi Lindsey and welcome! Congrats on making a great decision for your health! Ask tons of questions and changing your eating habits now will make for a smoother transition to post-op. You can try different things and learn what to eat later. Good luck on your journey and you also @!!

    Protein Intake

There is an Isopure in glass bottles that is a translucent non-dairy type, more like koolaid. It is no-carb and 40 grams of Protein in a bottle. Maybe you could try those. For me at first the Protein shakes were too much volume, the thinner Water consistency of the Isopure was better. Also try different temperatures. I couldn't drink cold at first for about a week. I got much more in at room temperature, then I could drink cold again about 12 days out.
  4. Depends on the restaurant...hard to get mushy food and still focus on Protein on a menu. Maybe stick with come Soup?

    The scale...

Agree with @jane13. When I know I am goin to be weighed at the doctors office, I weigh before going so I can see how my scale compares to theirs. In the end they will be comparing apples to apples anyway because they will always be using their scale. Try not to let the scale drive you nuts. We are all just so excited to see the weight come off we can get a bit crazy. I weigh every couple days but when it hasn't moved I am not as happy but I know the next time I get on it will. Make sure you are getting your fluids in, it really does make a huge difference! Good luck!!

    Protein Pills?

Biotin won't regrow hair but it will make your hair a bit healthier and sometimes grow faster. You can always supplement your meals with a Protein shake. Good ones are pretty high in protein, up to 30 g. Good luck!

    Frustrated

We have all been frustrated by the stall but hang in there...the weight loss will start again. The body is going through a major change and it needs time to regroup. I know it is frustrating to not lose and to even gain but the weight will come off if you stick to your plan and exercise. At times you will see no change on the scale but will see a change in your clothes. Try not to be too compulsive with the scale (should follow my own advice lol) and keep going. I have stalled once so far and it lasted a week. Then suddenly it started again. As you can see from posts here, we all experience it and everyone says it passes so relax and go for it!! Good luck!

    Frustrated, confused and scared

Some people just love the sound of their own voice and love to tell people what to do. This is your life and you have made the best decision for you. Stick to your guns because no one else knows what you have been through in your life or what has brought you to here. You have made a monumental decision to take control of your life and that is something to be admired! You are going to do well and they will still have something to say, so just let it roll off. Focus on what you need to do and Celebrate every success you have along the way! It will be an amazing journey and I wish you well. You can do this!!

    Eggs

At two weeks post up I could eat an egg...eggs are pretty mushy and go down pretty easily for most. When you get to other foods like meats it will be different. Enjoy your eggs!!
  14. Still surprised every day that I did this. I am so thankful that I finally did. Life is changing for me in crazy ways. Had my tarot read Sunday and was told that I was coming to the end of a cycle in my life. I am taking that to mean my weight. I am so ready for change!

    Hyena hernia repair and sleeve...

lol...I also had a hiatal hernia and it went fine. I was actually more tender from that than the sleeve. Basically I had a more tender area at the top of my stomach but it felt better after just a couple days for me. It didn't create any other issues than that. Congrats on your upcoming surgery!

Be patient and follow your eating plan. Change up your exercise a bit because it seems like every time I hit a long one, if I change my routine, my body responds with weight loss. Good luck!

I have seen where it happens to everyone. I dread getting there. I will just have to stay off the scale. I swore I was not going to weigh when I came home but I caved and did it any way as of this morning I have lost 9 lbs. I cant believe it. I just came home from the hospital yesterday. It just don't seem possible.

    struggling to get anything in

Keep at it cos you don't want to get dehydrated and end up back in the hospital. Try everything...it will work soon. You are recovering from surgery and your new tiny tummy is still healing and getting over the shock of it all. I struggled for days and then all of a sudden it was all good. Good luck, you can do this!
