Anyone having problems with the display on the vivosmart? Mine is doing very strange things
-
Doing great thanks! Down 34lb and loving this. Well, most of the time. I think my restriction is quite strong and I seem to eat less than some on here. How are you doing?good to hear. I'm still trying to get my mind and stomach to agree on limits, and it's a tough conversation. The stomach has a lot more influence these days..

I was 376 on my surgery date at 5/19, one month post op I am 346.. Program start weight was 396.. Its a tough tool to use, but I think it will be worth it.. I am already off of diabetes medicines and looking to come off high blood pressure medicine in another two weeks. Get rid of Cpap in 2 months maybe when I get under 300. Co-morbidities dropping away as fast as my weight. Target weight, 233.

I'm sure you can pull your own. There was one stich that had to be cut and the the dr just pulled it straight out. Surprising that there was a foot or more tubing in there. Didn't hurt at all and I'm certain I could have pulled my own. No bleeding at the site, just have some gauze pads ready to tape onto it..

how are you doing now Rosie? Any relief from meds?

Just for Men: How long did it tak you to get your brain and stomach back in syncronization?
craigcu replied to Nikasio's topic in The Guys’ Room
I'm suffering that head stomach battle right now.. I'm 3 weeks post op, and have been managing well, but then fall into that trap mentioned earlier about portion size and my brain overriding the stomach signals. And I paid for that by throwing up a couple times. So now, went and bought a lotta small bowls and children's fork and spoons to work at controlling portion size and speed of eating. We'll see if this helps.. -
speak the truth my brother!

thanks gracy, I went out today and bought smallest bowls I could find and a handful of baby spoons and forks. Going to try the smaller bowl for awareness and the small utensils for speed control.. Give some physical form to my mental pictures of what I need to do. See how this goes..

Am I the only one who regrets their Sleeve?
craigcu replied to banksdea's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
This is a great topic, thanks all for sharing. I'm sleeved on 5/19 and struggling some with the transitions from liquids, letting my brain dictate how much to eat and then throwing up, etc.. I was lucky not to have any real complications post op except for dehydration, so that went well. I'm having some of the mental issues, but I'm looking for my solution to dealing with them. I don't regret my sleeve decision, but I grieve for its necessity. But my weight was killing me at 394 lbs. I look at it this way, if I had had stomach cancer, and the way to save my life was to under go this surgery, would I have made any other choice? No. This surgery for many of us is about saving our lives. You may be young, you may not have had the comorbidities yet ( but they were coming, I assure you). I had them all and I was expecting not to be alive in 5 years from 47.. So, once I get through denial, I can get angry and kick my own ass back into the gym. So, I will pull up my big girl panties ( which seem to fit looser now), and figure out how to make this work so I can live... food is fuel @stephenhud.. 3 weeks post op, 356 lbs.. -
Catfish, we are connected now. @kdm7, can you confirm your vivosmart user name? Could not find any KDM7..

In the stall and having real problems transitioning to soft foods. Either I'm getting to big a portion size or eating to fast, I just can't figure it out. Now I'm scared to eat any real food. Threw up last night, figured I hit my limit...but went past mentally... Maybe I need to not eat at the table with my family.. I don't know, need more ways to figure this out? Any one else having mental issues and eating to much?
