I am scheduled for 10am too praying everyone has a smooth surgery. Has your surgeon told you how long your sugery will be?

I am joining the losers bench 11/30 too and I am slightly freaking out!!! I have never had surgery before or had to stay in the hospital so very new experience.

I am so freaking excited I finally got the pre auth approved to have my consultation with my surgeon. You read that right I had to get pre auth just to get the consultation. My insurance company Meritus covers my surgery. However, they have no in network bariatric surgeons. How that happens I have no clue. So just to get my consultation I had to get a referral and pre auth. I was ready to just start putting money together to go to Mexico which I REALLY DID NOT WANT TO DO. I have been trying to get auth to get the ball rolling since March. My doctors office told me that they would deny it and they had never had anyone get approved to get the consult. I told the insurance lady I would be the first because I am a fighter. I called today and was told they approved. I called my doctor to make sure they had record of the approval as well and the lady was like "I was just going to call you mija you won I can not believe it". I know I am going to have to get auth approved again to actually have surgery but at least now I can get the ball rolling. My consult is scheduled for next Wednesday and I am so excited!!

@ kaseyw0od bahahaha I totally am terrified of my bat wings too. You should check out Ghrelinbegone on youtube. I love her arms and she posted a video on her arm workout. She still has a little bat wing going on but it looks damn good. Trust me I am going to be the squatting lunge queen!!! I have tried to do the 30 day squat challenge 3x at my size now and failed. Totally hoping to conquer it after surgery. I know your surgery date was yesterday I am so freaking excited for you!!! Totally praying and sending fast healing thoughts your way. Can't wait to her how your doing.

I have a pretty big booty now and my biggest fear from the surgery other then you know not waking up is a saggy ass. I feel so vain but I am terrified my booty is just going to be a whole bunch of skin lol. @ sweettooth2015 I am going to send you a friend request. I am also at the beginning of my 6 month diet. I totally think it is ridiculous we have to do this anyway. Like six months is not going to make a dent in 20 years of being overweight. @ pgarcia0812 you are amazing for dishing out all the awesome advice!

Hello Kiasha, You replied to my "First Consult" post but I thought Id pop in here and say hello. I am 24 and from North Idaho/Eastern Washington area. That is very unfortunate to not have any "in network" doctors in your area, hopefully you can find a fix! Look forward to hearing everyone's success, well wishes to those who just had surgery or are due to have surgery soon. Thanks for the reply. It is kind of nuts because they do not have any in network in my state and it is local insurance lol. My Dr. told me that they have never approved anyone. However, i called and talk to everyone and got my case sent to the clinical director. Then they reached out to my Dr office. My Dr. said that is a first so fingers crossed I get approved so i can really get the ball rolling. Totally do not want to end up up paying out of pocket.

Hello everyone my name is Kiasha I am 25, happily married for 3 years, and planning to have an RNY done as soon as possible. Its a decision I have thought long and hard about for 3 years. I tried losing weight on my own and it just isn't working. I have PCOS, Papilledema, and Pseudotumor cerebri all which I have been repeatedly told would get better with weight loss. I am ready to make a permanent change in my life. I am hoping the surgery will make it possible for me to have a baby and most of all just be healthy. I look forward to getting to know everyone and providing/receiving as much support as possible.

Hey Kasey we should def keep in touch. CONGRATS ON YOUR SURGERY DATE!!! That has to be super exciting and overwhelming all at the same time. I am currently fighting with my insurance but it looks like its going to go my way. You have to let me know how your surgery goes

i hope your headaches subside but it is definitely awesome they have declined. I have seen several doctors but none of them have given me any medicine even with all my issues they always tell me I am so young just lose weight.

Congratulations on getting your surgery done!!! How are you feeling? I do not have my date I am going through this major fight with my insurance. I have bariatric benefit but there are no in network surgeons in my state go figure lol...I am hoping to hear from them next week.
