I found this website in the process of looking for answers since having my surgery (4/13/15). I liked the responses and the groups as I continued to search for other little quentionable things. I did stumble on this site last year when I was considering WLS.
My insurance did not add a lot of the strains that a lot of people have been going through (Thank God!). It was all based on whatever my surgeon requested in order for me to have the surgery. My transistion was easy.
I had the VGS on 4/13/15 with a 4 day stay at the hospital. My stay was due to rapid heart rate. The care was excellent the best medical staff I'v ever had. I am 9 days post opt. andhave been doing well just trying to get used to the menu. I hope to continue to share and learn more.
