    Clothes

I am only 11 days post-op or so, but I have lost almost 40 lbs since June. I have not bought anything new. All my clothes are baggy. I have not even sorted through my clothes. But that is on my list this week to do while I am still home, but I just don't look forward to shopping.

    Surgery day!

Finding something yummy makes a BIG difference. I have enjoyed my soup choices, especially a line that I have only found at Whole Foods (I see they are available in Sprouts and Bristol Farms too), called IMAGINE. Glad to know you found a good one too! http://www.imaginefoods.com/products/creamy_soups

    Surgery day!

I am not dreaming of food yet. I watch the food network and get my fill of food prep and although I would love to eat now, I hope to make good choices in the future. It is hard, but we can overcome this. Thursday is scaring me cause I don't want to puke.

    Surgery day!

Pre-op I weighed in weekly using my NUT's scale. Now I weigh myself daily. I lost about 2 lbs a week pre-op. I am now losing 1 lb every two days. I think I can handle the stalls and inconsistency, but I know that we are susceptible to depression so maybe counter your need to weigh with doing a Leslie Sansone five minute walk or something else?

Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

On my sleeve date, 10/7, I weighed 196. On my 10/14, one week out, I weighed 187.

    Figured I'd say hi.

Hello. I was sleeved on 10/7, so we are healing in the same stages. Great to know you are doing great. Look forward to hearing about your continued progress.

    Insurance Mandatory Pre-Op Diet

I did the kaiser mandatory 3 month pre-op diet. From my first class on Jun 16 to my surgery date of Oct 7, I lost from 225 to 196. No liquid diet. Just walking 30 minutes 5 days a week and eating 1200-1400 calories a day.

    Vitamin Problems

I am on the Bariatric Advantage Multi EA with Iron Chewable, 2x a day. I was told by my NUT to stay off the Calicum chews for one month post-op. I heard good things about the patch too.

    So heres my story.

Congrats! Try to poop and gas as much as possible. That puts additional pain where your incisions are. I could just feel the build up behind the incision that hurt the most. Once I burped or gassed and pooped, it was less painful. Sounds like you are doing great.

Any Oct 6 Sleevers out there?

Went to my first post-op with the surgeon. I am down 9 lbs since my 10/7 surgery and my labs say I am not getting enough water. I admit, I have been drinking my liquids and still sipping my water.
  19. @ I love the SF pops. I only have a box of the one with orange, grape, cherry. I have 1/2 every night while I am walking around the house in the dark and then the rest in the morning. It's the only thing I can bit, chew on now!
  20. @@OKCPirate I only drink the Green Tea Lemon too. Even my 15 year old son tries to sneak a glass of it instead of making his daily Protein shake after football practice.

    Surgery day!

I had my post-op visit with my surgeon today. He looked at my labs and right off said I was not drinking enough water. Ding, ding, ding. I admit I have not, but my pee is not brown so I thought I was ok, I guess not. So I have to up my water TOO!

@@agalindo17 I have been reading about it here on BP and it seems to be a good option instead of taking pills. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/353116-labs-are-back-patchmd-seems-to-be-working/?hl=+PatchMD http://www.patchmd.com/

    vitamins options

Kaiser suggests CELEBRATE or Bariatric Advantage brands and they sell them. When the rep brought my class samples. I did not like the chalky taste of the CELEBRATE (this was pre-op). https://www.celebratevitamins.com/shop/kaiser.html Are you trying to stick to a chewable? I am taking the BARIATRIC ADVANTAGE Advanced Multi EA 2x daily. These are chewables and not bad. The cost is $30.60 for one month plus tax with Kaiser as the code at http://www.bariatricadvantage.com/catalog/categoryHandler?cat=Kaiser%20Recommended%20Vitamins%20%3A%20Multivitamins If you are open to PatchMD or taking capsules, I think you have more options.
