thisfathasgot2go replied to Bndtoslv's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Create your report, selecting the days you want to send. Then, if you have a PDF program on your computer, use the option to print your reports to a pdf? For me, I can click print, print to PDF and it creates a file that you can then email to your doctor. That is what I did weekly. -
@@cari0818 Hello, I am going through the process now. I attended the 3 month options class from June 16 - Sept 1 in Hollywood/Sunset. I am scheduled for surgery, the sleeve, tomorrow. I lost 25 lbs pre-op following the nutritionist/Options suggestions. I just added walking and reduced my calories to 1200 daily. I feel Kaiser prepared me well. So far, so good.

Food Funeral, Last Meals?
thisfathasgot2go replied to nicash4's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My last meal was Souplantation on Sunday. Love that place. I was good though. I keep having visions in my head about my surgeon seeing my last meal in my stomach. I have surgery tomorrow afternoon. Is it too late to take miralax to clear out my stomach? I am not supposed to eat or drink anything after midnight and I am not on a pre-op liquid diet. -

Isopure "mouth coating" fix?

If you can handle the extra, can you dilute with water? They are so sweet to me so I really need the dilution. -
Trouble with ordering Syntrax Nectar on Amazon?
thisfathasgot2go replied to lauraellen80's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
Same problem here. I had to order the 2lb. from vitacost instead. They charge $32.49 and they have 10% coupons. Free shipping over $50 I think. -
Yay, I am almost 6 weeks behind you.

Sleeved 9/30 - Qs 4 those weeks ahead of me!
thisfathasgot2go replied to sleevedtbd's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have not had my surgery yet, but I believe many, if not most, have regret the first couple of weeks, and maybe again during the plateau's. It is easy for me to say, hang in there, but this will pass, and the results will outweigh these tough times. Happy healing. -
Pre-Op Diet Day 3
thisfathasgot2go replied to Half of Bri's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My surgery is next week and I do not have a pre-op diet to follow now. My doctor just said don't gain before surgery or he will cancel! Since June I have lost 25 lbs. by walking, drinking 32-64oz Water and following a 1200 calorie diet during my medically monitored nutrition classes. I would infuse a Protein drink or two for Meal Replacement here and there, but overall I did what you noted above as your diet. Add Beans, brown rice and limit eating out. Eating at home and bringing lunch to work helped me the most, along with just walking 30 minutes a day. Good luck. You can do it! -

Thank you @bigbit. We will see what the surgeon suggests today as far as a primary care physician. -
Finally got approved - Anthem BC
thisfathasgot2go replied to bigbit's topic in Insurance & Financing
@@bigbit Congrats. Can you tell me the process? Did you have to have to follow a doctor supervised weight loss plan for a specific amount of time, or did you have to involve a primary care physician? My daughter has an appointment today with a surgeon, but this is her first step since leaving Kaiser and her new insurance being Anthem BC. -

thisfathasgot2go replied to Ilovecats1985's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have no pre-op diet, but my doctor says no gaining weight. I have lost 27 lbs. by my scale, I started at 225 and I am down to 197. I last weighed in with him at 203. I have been tracking my food and exercise on myfitnesspal since July. My surgery is next Weds. Good luck with yours. The liquid diet should help keep your weight down. -

thisfathasgot2go replied to ThruChristICan's topic in Insurance & Financing
Thank you @@Ruby Woo. When is your pre-op appointment? Did you go visit the anesthesiologist yet? Pay your deductible? I guess I will do that the day of surgery? I saw the doctor on 9/22 and don't plan on going back until surgery day. -
200 lbs sleevers
thisfathasgot2go replied to gabbisha's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
@@ninataylor I have not had my surgery yet, so I cannot comment on your plateau, but are you tracking what you are eating. Are you emphasizing Protein first? Why not consider a plan to go back to an eating plan that was successful just after surgery like soft foods or ? Are you still paying attention to calories, sugar content? -
Kaiser Permanente Options program
thisfathasgot2go replied to ThruChristICan's topic in Insurance & Financing
@@BohemianBeauty Yes I am ready to go and committed to following the plan. The classes prepared me well. You will see that the nutritionists want to see you try to follow their instructions. If you follow them and participate, get your labs done on time, turn in your logs and you lose weight, they will approve you and refer you to a surgeon quickly. So yes, from my June 16 class start to an October 7 surgery date is quick and helps to keep the motivation high. -
Well so here I am.
thisfathasgot2go replied to Desmond Longbottom's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
10 years ago, in 2005, I did the same thing. I was approved for the lap band, lost weight during the liquid diet and said I can do this without surgery. Over the years, I gained and lost, but I could not get approved again until my BMI was over 40. Now I have lost weight again during my 3 month pre-op nutritional counseling, but I am going through with my surgery next week. I cannot make the same mistake twice. Good luck and just do it! -
Emergency Stash of Protein

I have a couple cans of Trader Joe's boneless skinless sardines in olive oil at home and work. Does not taste bad at all! 14g protein for a half a can.
