I am 19 days post op gastric bypass and I am CRAVING a salad lol. Good to know I can have one eventually!!

I swore against wls for so long and then my best friend had the sleeve done and it changed my entire view of it. I have always been overweight and now have two children. I'm 35. I too wanted the band until I went to a required seminar and left wanting bypass. Is it scary, of course but I had my surgery on July 15th and I have never looked back. It's better for me to be healthier and feel good then to continue eating and gaining. Good luck. ????

I am new to this whole thing (1 week out) and I have a question. I know bread is a problem for us, but will I eventually be able to eat a wheat wrap? Thanks for any help you can give me on this!

I am having bypass on Wednesday and am freaking out a bit. Has anyone had this issue before their surgery? I am going forward but every so often my brain says no don't do it.

Thank you both. I have similar problems like both of your stories. Hyperlipidemia and back hip and knee pain. I know it's the right decision. I'm going to have bypass, but it's such a scary thing. You're whole life is about to change for the better but you know how people hate change lol. Although I think I'll be very happy with this change once it's done.
