Oohhh good one. I'm waiting for responses. I suffer from IBS so that has definitely been on my mind since I'm going to be having the bypass done.

Girl get the sleeve. I've heard of more ppl revising to sleeve and bypass than those who've actually experienced success. Now those ppl do exist but in my experience is it's far and few between. But continue doing research til you're comfortable.

Lmaoooo yes I'm a newbie here. So i guess I'm learning how things go in here. I guess I'm just relating on the obviously we aren't perfect because if we were we wouldn't need the surgery in the first place. Some have a harder time than others so i agree with Icanmakeit. They need to hear the truth but with a little more compassion. Sometimes food as we know can be a mental thing. I feel we shouldn't discourage others from posting what their going through. After all we're still a community and have to support each other right? Or am i being a little too kumbaya-ish? I don't know the dynamics in here yet. ????

That would be asking for justification for your bad choices. We are only human. We make mistakes and bad choices. But at least own up to it. Justification? I would hope no one here is searching for that on a public forum. You do what you do for you. What you do that is wrong hurts no one but yourself in the long run. I think it's owning up to it if you post about it. That's not denying it. You live and learn. Some ppl need more than just the written rules lol. Some ppl don't believe the stove is hot unless they touch the door first. Ppl post in case others have done the same. I guarantee quite a few have.

It's definitely a choice. But there's nothing wrong with posting and still trying to find out of others have done the same. Just like we say everyone's journey isn't the same this also applies. Doing things too soon, i feel, sets you up for failure. But sadly not everyone that's had the surgery is ready like you are. And it does not make it right, it just is. Keep on your journey and offering the right advice that we need.

Great to hear about easy recoveries. I dont have a surgery date yet and not sure yet if I'll have to have one or two procedures for my revision from band to bypass. Hope it's one though.

I have my sample pack from bariatric pantry just sitting. I don't have a surgery date but I'm trying to sample protein drinks now. I guess I'll crack open the packet!

I told one person. I don't need the negativity. I need to just focus on me and what i was doing. I don't want ppl to monitor my loss, my intake... everything. I felt that would work for me. But now that you've divulged it may help you keep yourself accountable. Keep you motivated and positive knowing everyone is watching. We all know not everyone is accepting of the wls community. Ppl want to see and critique as well as congratulate. I think you got this and just use your own discretion. You know them better. Some will be positive and some will be negative.

I completely understand. I have UHC also and i have to do the 6 month diet. Even though I'm a revision patient, going from the band to bypass. May makes my 5th month. Good luck to you, hope you're doing well.

Hi everyone! I ordered a sample pack of the nectar flavors. I think it's 12 packets for $19.99. I have yet to try em though. ???? I'm in the pre op stages. Just completed my month 4 of 6 nutritional classes. I'm a revision from band to bypass.
