    Steroids for back injury

Always double check with your surgeon, however one of my asthma inhalers is a steroid. I asked about that. They said it was fine because it doesn't go to the stomach.
  3. My surgery is the 16th. I was getting pretty nervous a few days ago so I took a couple full body pictures of myself. Every time I start to feel unsure I look at those pictures and reconfirm that I NEED to do this. Good luck.

    For the physically active sleevers...

That another reason I like classes. For example, you could sign up for a belly dancing class and then when it's over sign up for a Salsa class, etc. My Wellness Center and the YMCA I belonged to before I moved also offer drop-in classes so you don't have to commit to just one. There is an option to try different kinds of exercise. This is great if you like variety or get bored easily. Love the dancing ideas!

    For the physically active sleevers...

Thank you everyone. I hope it comes for me. Normally I can stick with it for a few weeks, or months, but I always quit for one reason or another. I will definitely try different things to find something I really enjoy.

    Gallbladder question

I have posted on here before that my gall bladder surgery was by far the hardest surgery I've ever recovered from. I have had 6 surgeries, 3 of them being c-section but that laproscopic gall bladder surgery knocked me out for 2 few weeks. I was in pain and nauseous and it was horrible. Have you gone back to have your incisions checked/staples removed? If not be sure to bring it up. Hang in there.

    Extra skin questions

Let me start off by saying I'm pre op. My surgery is in a week. That said, I have a mother's apron from being overweight and having 3 c-sections. I struggled for years with random issues from it. My suggestion is a little unorthodox but it's never failed me and I've never had any sort of issue or infection since then. Keep an open mind... Stick a thin sock between the skin fold. Seriously. It keeps it dry. If you don't trust me just give it a try. My Dr thought it was genius. You're welcome!

    pre-op diet

How long have you been on the pre op diet?
  18. Hi. I am on day 6 of my 2 week pre op diet. I have had a headache the entire diet so far. I've noticed the past few nights though I am having the weirdest dreams. They aren't bad, or good, or scary. They are just weird, off the wall, and don't make any real sense. Any one else?

    Not feeling well at all

Buzzly36, do you have your gall bladder? I dont, and I think that is what is causing my diarrhea. It is leaving extra acid in my empty tummy. You might be experiencing something similar. I almost wondered if I should take an acid preventer for the next week.

    Not feeling well at all

I think we will feel better post op. I really believe that. I can't guarantee it, but I have to believe that. This weekend so far, being home is even harder than being at work. All the food around is very tempting. Like you I am not hungry, but knowing it's here is a mental battle. I have headaches daily, yet I'm drinking 100oz of water a day. I don't have as much nausea as you, but I have diarrhea everytime I drink a shake or eat dinner. I too wonder how I can do this for another week, but I keep telling myself why i started this process in the first place. We can do this.

    November Sleevers

I thought the weekend would fly by like they normally do. Being home my mind is all about the food in my cabinets and fridge. It was much easier fighting this battle at work! I am only allowed between 500 to 700 calories. It's brutal.
  23. I am scheduled for the 16th of this month. I have told my husband & kids, my parents, my sister, and my boss. That is all that I will ever tell. Everyone else will be told I worked my rear end off to be healthy, and that will not be a lie.

    Not feeling well at all

I am also pre op (6 days) my surgery is the 16th. I am only consuming 500 to 700 calories a day. That's per the diet I was given by my surgeon. 2 shakes and 1 lean meat 4oz meal with veggies. I have bouts of weakness too. I am not naseous. I have had a headache though the entire 6 days. I am also having diarrhea. It's not easy. You have 2 days. Hang in here.
