How truly tragic -- I'm so incredibly sorry for your loss. I can send you a serving or 2 of GENEPRO if you'd like. Then you'd at least be able to try it out and see if you like it. If you want, message me your address and I'll drop it in the mail to you on Monday. I'm in NY - so you'd probably have it by Wednesday.

Final weigh in.... 213.2 this morning. My goal was 215 - so I'm super excited to be under that by almost 2 lbs! Wishing everyone a happy, healthy, safe, and prosperous 2016! @@stephh Thank you so much for taking on this daunting task!!

Congratulations! What a great early start to the new year!!

My stats are very similar - and I'm just an inch shorter. I put on a pair of Gap sweats last night and they were baggy. Never in my life did I imagine! Now make sure you post a picture of yourself in those baggy lounge pants. I started at 266. This morning I weighed 214.0 Surgery was 11/9. I've spent the last 3 nights cleaning out my walk-in and filling bags for donation. FILLING bag. I found 42 pair of pants with tags still on them. 35 of them are being donated because they are now too big. I have over 500 pair of pants/tops that are in 6 huge lawn bags ready to be picked up next week. Even in my current size, I put a pair of jeans on this morning and immediate took them off and put them in the donation bag. I'm only getting smaller, so no need to keep anything that looks too big. Your mind will play crazy tricks on you. But you'll get the last laugh! Good luck.

Jumping up and down here... my goal for the challenge was 215. I hit 215.8 this morning!! Still counts, right??

I was approved within days with BCBS Empire (NY Government plan)

@@TodayItEnds I know how frightening that sounds to you -- and the test absolutely sounds like it sucked. I had an EGD done and they found erosive gastritis and a stomach FULL of ulcers. NEVER had a pain - ever. They postponed my surgery for a few weeks and I was sleeved on 11/9. I was put on Omeprazole right after the EGD to help heal my stomach - and I feel fantastic now. Good luck with the results tomorrow -- keep us posted!

How frightening. So glad pathology showed benign. What a relief that must be!!

Thank you all. He is such a strong "kid". I've had my moments of just crumbling -- because to be told your child has, not only cancer, but that it has spread elsewhere is just mind numbing and crushing. But of course I don't let him see that! His girlfriend texted me today saying he had a great weekend. Friends are definitely keeping them busy - which is a huge help. They started an Instagram account of his journey so friends can stay updated. He's absolutely blown away by the enormous amount of love/prayers/support. So many people have reached out to us. It's so heartwarming. I'm so frightened but excited at the same time for January because after 3 rounds, they'll do more scans and see how the chemo is working. We pray the tumor has shrunk by then. If the chemo works properly, we should definitely see results. His favorite part of Christmas is Christmas Cookies. So we made some for his first round of chemo. I'll bake a different batch for next Monday. And then one more batch after Christmas for his 3rd round. I feel helpless but I'm on the phone with doctors/hospitals or doing research day in and day out. Once we get the January scan results, we'll know which path to take and whether he'll go to Yale, Columbia Presbyterian or Sloan. The unknown and the waiting in limbo are definitely difficult to cope with. And I suck at dealing with my new sleeve. I know I'm not getting enough liquids in still - but am working at keeping my Protein up. Today is 4 weeks. I was down 20 lbs. - but went back up 2. How, I have no damn idea. Picking up my mom's treadmill today to see if that kick-starts me again. One day at a time.

@@jane13 He had his first of 12 chemo treatments from Monday-Wednesday of this week. Each treatment is 48 hours long. Yesterday was a difficult day for him. His body is beyond exhausted. But today he was back at work and said he felt better than he has in awhile. Again, thank you all for such kind words, compassion, thoughts, prayers, stories. <3

I was pretty wiped 6 days out. If you're just going to relax, that's fine. But if there is any sort of agenda to follow, be cautious.
