Hey,
I find that regular food just means what my stomach can tolerate now and is not in a puree state. Some foods I ate before just can't stay down so while the fast food you had before might still seem acceptable in your head, the stomach might not cooperate when you try it. Like someone said keep Snacks that you have already tried and are sure you can eat.

So sorry for whats going on. For your own sake it might be better to let your self feel the loss than mask it with fear. You have a really good thing going for you and the sooner you get back to it the better. Take care of yourself.

I hired a personal trainer and a dietitian. Arrggghhh sorry you have to deal with nosy coworkers!

Sorry for your dilemma, stay healthy all around and keep looking. Its alright to be frustrated and to accept criticism and advice. If I were at your stage of the journey, I would checking off a bucket list of all those things I missed out on while overweight - you might find your friend along that journey.
All the best!!!

What i regret is not doing it sooner. I could have been feeling better, and enjoying my life earlier but hey, its never to late to make a good decision.

My surgeon asked I take an antacid for 60 days after surgery. Talk to your surgeon and let them know what is going on. Hope this gets resolved soon.

Wow! Congratulations on such success. Please do not over do it, keep to your surgeon's orders both on food and exercise. It takes a while to truly be back to normal. Glad you are having so much fun.

Congratulations on getting here. It is cold feet and we all had it at this period in our journey. Do not get discouraged, it is not that you will not be able to enjoy food, you will enjoy it. It will just be a different relationship with food. I did feel like you and I mourned food and was conflicted but I must say going ahead with my surgery was the best decision of my life. I am still early in the post phase but I am slowly learning this new relationship with food.

Congratulations on your journey. I had to lose 5% of my weight. For me it was surgeon required to prevent problems during surgery due to large liver. It is for your own safety and better surgical outcome. My surgeon had a disclaimer that if I did not lose he could refuse operating on me. Not sure of the insurance aspect though. Just follow the diet and you should lose, it is hard especially knowing where you are headed but keep trying. Good luck!

Hello,
I highly recommend the Nicholson Clinic in Dallas area, they are an awesome group that will work with you and have great self-pay options.

@cookies_queen I was told by my NUT and surgeon NP not to take any Gummy Vitamins. Hope that helps but be sure to ask.

All the best on your surgery day, we will be waiting for you on the post-op side

Congrats on your journey!
@Rani Summers Should you be eating though? Just started any chewing foods at day 22

Congrats on your journey!
I am experiencing some issues with eating too. I barely can tolerate two bites and I feel nausea, so still been supplementing with Protein shakes to get to the 60g
Yesterday I tried ground chicken breast and it worked so much better for me. I too can barely get 64oz of Water.
Hope this is a passing phase

I have been experiencing that and my NP said it was the dissolving stitches inside separating from the flesh as it heals. I know how bad it hurts when you move a certain way. I put a warm pad their and it helped.
All the best and hope you feel better soon

Sorry for your experience. I had hernia repair too and did not experience those spasms. Please call your surgeon, I do not think it is safe to be vomiting in your sleep. Best of luck and pray that you are better soon.

Just keep trying to lose as much as you can before your surgery. My surgeon's disclaimer was that if they thought my liver was too large to allow for safe surgery they would not do it. The purpose I think of the pre-op weight is to shrink your liver so keep losing as much as you can.

Whose thinking about cake? My prayers to you as you fight through these two journeys. All will be well, we are just starting to learn new relationship with food so we are all bound to make mistakes. Just focus on getting well. Big hugs your way.
