Happy 1 Year anniversary! I have to say it did go fast. I have been very successful. I lost half of my entire body weight. SW 320 CW 160. I worked very hard and it has been worth it. My thoughts to all the other "June 2015" sleevers. Happier and healthier days to us all.

My fellow June 2015 peers....I have finally reached goal. My SW was 320 and have reached my goal of 175 within the first year. 10 months actually. Went from size 26-28 to 10-12. I followed the rules and exercised like a fool. Wishing you all success and better health.

So close...so so close. My own personal goal was to be at 175 in one year. We June Sleevers are at the 10 month mark. I am at CW of 179, SW 320. These last 10 pound were and are so hard to shed. I hope my peers, June Sleevers, are having the success they desire. Skin removal my next adventure!

I too can eat more and I hate that I can. I have to watch everything I eat. SW 320 CW 191. I too have the saggy skin and loss so much hair. Best part is that I will not have to go through this again! I refuse to gain any back...we worked to hard to get at this point.

Has anyone lost 100+ pounds?
mespo replied to provenzee's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Have lost 119 pounds in 7 months with the sleeve. Hoping for goal weight before one year anniversary. -
It is so good to hear others doing well. I am hoping to reach goal #2 by tomorrow. First goal was to lose 100 pounds...second goal is to be under 200 pounds. Today I weighed 200.4. Wish me luck! Third goal is to reach goal weight of 175 by one year anniversary...

3 months...and it was delicious! When did y'all try a little bit of coffee for the first time? Normal coffee, not de-caf.

Hey all you June sleevers...we are at or close to the six month milestone. Where is everyone? What is different for you? Are you happy? Would love to hear from everyone. I, myself am so glad I had the surgery. I feel so good. Have had some rough obstacles like hair loss, some depression, and I so miss my Diet Pepsi but I have lost 100 pounds. My life improves daily. I wonder what the next six months will bring?

Me too...arms and boobs just gross!

Me too! I'm freaking out! Surgery was 6/12. I am down 75lbs, but getting super self conscious about my hair Took another 6 inches off on Saturday. I can't quite tell but I think my hair is coming out less. Most of my loss is in the front. I can actually see my scalp. I think I might be turning in to Homer Simpson. Weight loss has been good. Have loss close to 90 pounds. Had sleeve surgery on June 10th. Feel good, just need to exercise more. How is other "June Sleevers" doing?
-
Having major hair loss. Cut 6 inches off my length, hoping that taking some of the weight off will help.

Yes, please feel free to join us. Our next group is August 17th at 6:30 pm in the Clayton Conference Center at Bethesda Hospital (East). Hope to see you there. Can people who had surgery by another Dr go to this support group? It is much closer to me than Jupiter. When is it?
-
I am in Boynton Beach and had surgery at Bethesda Hospital...Surgeon was Dr. Lopez-Viago. Was pleased with doctor, hospital, no complaints. Bethesda has support groups and the follow up from Dr. Lopez-Viago is excellent.

I was sleeved on June 10th. I have lost 45 pounds... the best part is I feel so good. I am introducing "real" food to my grouchy pouch, am exercising, and I am so filled with hope! There is light at the end of this tunnel....if only I could have a diet Pepsi! LOL.
-
I too was sleeved on June 10th! What a ride this has been. I have lost 42 pounds, lost many tears, had a stall, am sick to death with Protein shakes, and wouldn't change it for nothing. All the pain, heart ache, and mental obstacles are worth it. Keep your chin up June sleevers! We will persevere!

How do you know you're full?
mespo replied to annasledge's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
This is so weird but I know I am full when I shiver. Like when you get a chill and your body shakes..that's what I do. At that point I stop. -
Love it! I just can not do the Protein shakes anymore. Just typing the word Protein shake made my grouchy pouch flip.

I am 20 days out and this is so difficult for me. It is so so hard to just sit there while everyone is eating and drinking. Then you have to respond to everyone why you are not eating, why you are not drinking.
