Hi Everyone ! I'm 66 and had my surgery 17 weeks ago. Doing good right now and just wondering how much weight you all lost at 17 weeks. I'm down 61 lbs. Losing hair have bat wings and sagging skin on tummy and upper thighs but feel so much better it is all worth it. No Diabetes and Blood pressure meds are cut in half now. Doc says we will do a retest of the sleep apnea in September too ! If you are wondering if you should have the surgery...do it. I was very scared and did not make up my mind till the last the prep but it was truly worth it !!

Just wondering how everyone is doing now...I'm slowing down in my WL but I can eat more comfortably now and the nausea has gone since I cut out my iron pill (Dr. approved).

Feeling sick after eating
slowbutsure replied to Kathrine1970's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I was told not to eat or drink anything that was too cold or too hot. I am 3 weeks out tomorrow and I am getting a feeling of a lump in my throat or a tightening that's uncomfortable..if I can then burp it seems to relieve it...this is after I eat. Is this normal? -
Still have lots of burping and the protein shakes seem to go right through me.I am on soft foods now and if I'm careful not to overdo it's ok. Down 12 lbs since surgery. How's everybody else doing?

I was sleeved on April 7. Buffalo, NY. How is everyone? I seem to be better every day and am now on soft food. Haven't seen much change in my weight this week but lost 10 lbs first week.

I will be on soft food -
I was sleeved on the 7TH. After a somewhat rough start and 2 night stay in the hospital I am finally starting to feel pretty good. Getting all meals, protein and liquids down plus medications is very time consuming and difficult. No vomiting yet, thank the good Lord. Lots of gurgling, burping, etc. Lost 10 lbs so far.

slowbutsure replied to Goldy6575's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved on April 7 and I have lost 10 lbs too.So guess it's about the same. -
Has anyone seen/used these
slowbutsure replied to erose321's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I tried these but since I am sensitive to dairy the Casein protein affected me. They fruit punch flavor was sweet but not too bad but the blueberry one was awful. It is a good concentrated protein if your system can handle them. I was just sleeved on April 7. -
