I am doing shakes for breakfast and dinner and vegetables and a lean meat for lunch.

Today is my first day of my pre-op diet...it isn't even that strict and I am hungry!!!! I think it is a mental game now.

I don't have to do liquids. Just 2 shakes a day and a sensible meal. Lots of protein though. I have my pre op class on Wednesday. I start my diet on Monday also!

I am having mine on July 20. I am going to ask them to bypass the foley. I am hoping they don't put one in. Lol! I do know my surgeon, but not a whole lot since I work in case management and mostly stay in an office. One of the unit secretaries used my surgeon for her surgery and told him I was coming to see him. Lol...so now he knows me.

Dallas folks... Where are you having your surgery done? I'm having mind done in Rowlett by dr Abbott.

I'm nervous too. Maybe because I work in a hospital and have seen the bad more than the good.

I don't have to do clears. I have a low calorie/low fat/high protein liver shrinking diet to follow for 2 weeks. 1000 calories a day. It was really tough to do clears for two days when I had a colonoscopy done. I don't know if I could do 2 weeks! -

I got my approval and date today! Not the date I wanted but I can't be any happier! July 20!! -
I am feeling the same way. The stress of not knowing is killing me. But I found out today that I am approved!!! Just waiting for the coordinator to call me. I even told her I needed to know because today was the last day to put our work schedule in and she still didn't call me back! I called the insurance company and they told me I was approved! Hopefully I will get July 6!
