You're not alone. There are plenty of "Banders" out there. I originally wanted the Lap-Band, but realized that sleeve was a better choice for me. Do what's best for you and not for anyone else.

I would like to say please rethink this but I wish you the best of luck...I can no longer live with mine....a miserable 10 years and I have gained most of my weight back and being tested for Barrets disease as a result of reflux....band related complications.Inthrow up almost everyday ....sick.

The lap band is not as popular as it once once mostly due to long term complications and improvements in other surgeries. That said you must do what is right for you and what your surgeon suggests. Also for many of us if we travel to get surgery we could not get the after care for a lap band. I looked into it would have needed to travel well over 100 miles for aftercare. Good luck t o you.
