  1. Getting really sad. I'm not suppose to eat real food till 12 weeks out and for now everything I eat seems to give me nausea except for yogurt and I'm really getting tired of yogurt. I've lost 20 lbs since surgery and that really doesn't seem like much to me. I'm getting really down, only 20 lbs and can't eat anything but yogurt! It just seems like for all this trouble I should either lose more weight or be able to at least eat some mashed potatoes or beans!

Ugh! 12 weeks?! That's a long time. I am able to eat more "real" food at 6 weeks, but I know each doctor is very different. I "mostly" have been able to keep pureed/soft foods down but nothing that I am really getting protein from which is frustrating. I tried protein powder in my mashed potatoes - HORRIBLE! Some things that have worked for me (not protein necessarily though) are avocado, pimento cheese, SF pudding (with protein powder mixed in), Laughing Cow cheese wedges (2g protein each wedge - very thick eat slowly), Green Chili Cheese soup pureed, scrambled eggs, refried beans, hummus.... Hope some of those help.
