So I went on vacation out of the country and then had to return thru immigration. The agent refused to let me thru as she didn't believe I was the person in my passport photo. Had to get a supervisor over and explain that I had lost 100+ lbs since that picture and it was in fact me. Eventually convinced them, but I guess I am going to have to spring for a new passport with a new photo.

My surgeon's position is that it is impossible to stretch my sleeve as he removed the flexible part. The only way to make the sleeve bigger is if it balloons at the top or bottom due to rapid, massive, habitual over eating Sent from my iPhone using the BariatricPal App

Remember the leak test? I could see the barium pass immediately through my stomach and into my intestines. I was one of the lucky ones too on being able to get in liquids very easily from the beginning.

6 month waiting period for insurance is crazy
slvarltx replied to bac2u's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
In retrospect, the 6 month waiting period was actually quite helpful. It gave me time to consider my decision multiple times as well as fully research and start living the sleeve lifestyle. It was frustrating to me at the time, but I am actually glad especially after reading some of the remorse posts on the forum. It seem to me that a lot of the remorse posts are from folks that self pay and may have jumped into this too quickly. -
