It's a rocky road at the very beginning but it does get better and you will see & feel the benefits very quickly. @madferitchick. I was sleeved 5wks ago... It so isn't the easy option, I'm struggling with eating soup, drinking water, fitting in protein shakes! It's hard, it's really hard, but everybody tells me it gets better. I met somebody who had surgery a year ago and she has the fobi ring (I don't) and she Cannot eat meat & is still sick aprox twice a wk! Fobi ring is a Def no if you ask me. Your new stomach will be small enough hun ???? Good luck for surgery, I am also in the UK. Had my sleeve at The Princess Margaret Windsor by Mr Humadi. I'm here for you if you have Any questions at all ok x

Feelings too weak to exercise
EJS replied to Ariadne1234's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Thank goodness for this thread! I was sleeved on 14th April so 4wks & 2days post opp. I had a serious infection 1wk post opp & was rushed to hospital & stayed for a week. I have zero energy, have a headache most days, feel nauseous all the time & struggling to eat anything. I feel there is no light at the end of the tunnel. -
Pain in large incision area worsening
EJS replied to FlabbyNat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Please Please keep a close eye on wounds that don't feel right. I had a pocket infection under one of my wounds and was rushed into hospital and was in for a week. Admittedly this was one wk post opp but it's set me back big time & was the most horrific thing I've ever been through. If in any doubt speak to your Dr. ???? -
Pamzie85 I'm also UK. I was self paid sleeved on the 14th April by Mr Humadi at the Princess Margaret Windsor.

Hi Louise I'm 3wks post Gastric Sleeve today. I'll be 100% honest with you, it's hard, it's really hard. I'm struggling so bad with fitting in water to stop dehydration, protein shake to aid healing & weightloss & mushy baby food. I've had diharear since surgery. If I attempt mince with mash the tiniest of mince meat pieces feels like a brick is hitting my stomach. I can't say I regret surgery any more, like I did at the beginning, but I do wish I could eat proper healthy food just smaller portions. Oh and I'm Sooo thirsty & would love to gulp my water, but no, sip sip sip! When I researched into the Sleeve I just heard how great it is, how amazing they all look etc etc. I won't sugar coat it for you, the beginning of your journey will be tough. But there are people to support you on here that are living the life so they really get it. You are not alone, I promise you ok. I'm happy to exchange email address with you or anybody else. Research As Much As You Can!! Be sure!!
