Adipex is phentermine. Diet pill. Bad for your heart it mimics amphetamines. A upper makes you hyper and not hungry. -

I'm 5'7 205-ish lbs BMI is like 31 or so give or take 8lbs water weight etc fluctuation. I'm getting sleeved June 8th!!! I'm thrilled! Just because we are not in the "morbid" obese category we are still considered obese! And I personally know I'm very miserable! The sleeve is a tool I feel it's better to get it now then wait until we gain 100 more pounds! The sleeve is a tool I feel that I need. I can't keep weight off I need help! This is the tool and the lifestyle change I need. I have chose not to tell anyone because I don't want to hear negative comments. My mom is having it done on the same day with me in Mexico and she is the only one I've told. 26 days and counting to a new life! A new way of eating! I need help and the sleeve is the help and tool I need to change my way of eating forever! -
I agree! My goal also is to fix my messed up relationship with food!! To change the way I eat forever! Good job on your loss that's awesome! I can't wait to be where you are!!

I know it's hard but we have to stick to the plan!!! It's easy to justify cheating or bending the rules but we just can't!!! It's part of our addiction to food to make excuses and look for pitty about how we have it so rough! But this is life! We have to eat blan boring protein shakes and broths because we failed to take care of ourselves in the past!! Don't cheat yourself the sleeve is a tool use it!! Don't look for ways around it! Yes it's hard yes it's miserable but we can do it!!!! It's hard to take a step back and see that your cheating yourself and yes sometimes our inner fat person wins! Don't cheat yourselves people! We have to work for it and in the end it will be worth it!

I think sometimes we should focus on the type of calories we put in our bodies. Something may be low calories yes but starches bread carbs sugar processed meat etc..... No good!

June 8th with Dr Garcia!!! I'm so excited it's getting close! Under a month now! Message me after the 8th I'll tell you all about it!!! -
Self pay you'll qualify. Insurance prolly not they look for a reason not to cover it and make you wait 6 months or more hoping you decide its to much trouble! Self pay is the way to go!

Is it bad to drink a fruit smoothie on your liquid diet?
alindsey replied to banksdea's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Smoothies are ok if it's just fresh fruit juice. Not concentrated juice or premade juice but actually fresh pressed or squeezed juice!!! But when they add frozen yogur, sugars ,ice cream etc... It's not a smoothie it's a full on MILK SHAKE with fruit in it!!! Not good!! -
5 days post op can't do all liquid diet. Anyone else do okay on soft foods?
alindsey replied to nugirl402's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Stick to the liquids!!! I know it's miserable but that's part of it! Don't eat real food until your pouch has healed! Listen to your NUT. Follow instructions exactly! Don't deviate! -
