  1. I am 3 weeks post-op sleeve surgery and am concerned about stretching my "pouch". I know there may be a bit of stretching down the line, I just am so nervous. I did not have any pain at all after surgery, have had energy (not back to work yet though so that may change), and started walking (slowly) on the treadmill 2 days post-op. I have eaten very finely chopped up chicken already as well as eggs, cottage cheese and Greek yogurt. I have not had that "full" feeling I have read about but I do know when I am satisfied and stop eating. I have not felt nauseous at all even the evening after the surgery. Are there others out there that have had it "easy" post - op? I have a super supportive family and I'm so excited about this new stage in my life. I just want to do it right.

    Anybody else losing slowly?

I am 3.5 weeks out and just hit my 20lb mark since surgery date today. I think it also depends on how much you want/have to lose. I'm happy with my amount so far. To me my measurements are more important because that shows more (to me) then the scale number. Good luck and stay positive it will happen!

    Sagging Face

I am having the same fears with my neck. Not sure what to do. I am going to try a cream my Avon rep gave me and see how it works. Time will tell I guess.

    Freedom and more firsts

I was just talking with my husband yesterday about stages and clothes. His suggestion to me was the thrift stores - this way when I hit another goal and need smaller things, I can just redonate the ones I have and get new ones.

    Belly Full

I burp also. I have not felt the completely full feeling but I know when I am satisfied and just leave the rest. I have finally been able to spread my eating over the 30 minutes also which really helps me.

    Tips for beginners

Good Evening Everyone - I was on clear liquids from 24 hours after surgery and for 2 days post op. On day three I was on "Full liquids" which included my protein drink, yogurt (under 90 cal) diet pudding, high protein soup (couldn't find any) and low sodium V8. This stage was to last 16 days. On day 17 I was to start the "pureed diet" I tried it for a few days and couldn't eat the pureed food. I was a consistency thing for me so I asked my dr. if I could eat soft foods (really soft like cottage cheese) and he said it was fine as long as got my protein. I an at 3.5 weeks now and still have been eating soft foods, just a bit more. I have tried some "solid foods" like chicken cut up extremely small as well as a few pieces of sausage. I mostly eat the soft foods though still. I purchased a scale the other day to make sure I was not eating over 3oz and once I measured what I was actually eating I found out I was only eating like an ounce to two ounces. I use the little red condiment cups that they serve sauces in at Chilis. I fill that and its about 2 ounces. This satisfies me enough. I am baking a turkey breast Sunday and am going to try and have some of that. We will see how it goes. I do still drink at least 2 protein drinks a day as well and am doing very well with the water. I purchased 2 bottles that hold 24 oz of water, fill them both in the morning and have to have them both gone by the time I go to bed. If I don't drink 2 protein drinks, I drink an additional bottle of water to get my daily amount. Oh, I have eaten eggs as well, scrambled and an omelet (which is actually 3 meals for me) and greek yogurt which I can not finish a full cup of. Thank you all for all the great posts - it does help to read them and have questions that you don't think of when your at your follow up visits answered.
  7. I LOVE this idea! I am putting my scale in a closet until next month! I am three weeks out and my NSV is I put on a pair of pants yesterday for the first time in quite a while. I never wore them because I could not button them and yesterday they were TO BIG!!!
  8. I had the same fear. It was all I could think about for the last week or so because I did start eating "real" food. Reading these responses really did easy my worries. There are so many questions that come up all the time and I am glad I found this website because it does answer A LOT of the questions I have.
  9. I didn't tell many people either. Not for any other reason except I just didn't think it was any of their business. I told my parents, a couple of friend and of course my children. If they ask when I go back to work I will tell them then, but I didn't feel it was necessary.
