I am 21/2 weeks out from surgery and having heartburn/reflux worse than before my sleeve. I even get it with Water. I take zantac, but that is not cutting it. Any advice. I'm dying here. Eating is so hard. This almost makes me wish I did not have the surgery.

Thanks for the reply. I have a call into my Doc. I was really hoping this would be better after surgery. They even fixed my hernia. But I guess I will see what more meds can do for it. Sigh.

Hello, I am 3 weeks out from surgery and starting to worry. I have been epileptic since I was a child. Well controlled with Tegretol. Have not had a seizure for over 20 years. My doc is not concerned, but I read that others have had issues post surgery with meds not working. Anyone out there that has had a gastric sleeve procedure with epilepsy that can advise me on how this may go? I guess I'm just getting a case of the nerves, but would really like to hear something positive, as the internet is full of negative, and scary things concerning seizures and WLS. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I just got my surgery date of May the 20th, tentative of course. I still need all the pre-surgery testing, and EGD and the psych eval. Most of which is scheduled for next week. I've got a lot of good support in my life. But I'm really nervous about the 2 week liquid diet. I've heard nothing about how hard it is. Any hints to get through this? I'm guessing some of you are doing your diets right now.
