I've been thinking about this for a very long time. I went to my first seminar over a year ago. I thought that if I'd have to change my way of eating after surgery, why can't I just do it now & then I won't need surgery. A year later, I had gained weight. I went to two more seminars with two different doctors. I went for consultations with both doctors (one was a group) and decided which one I felt was better for me. Because of my insurance, I have to do the 6 months of visits. Now that I've decided to do this, I want it done yesterday. But I'm sure the time will go quickly. I'm not nervous, but I know as August approaches, I will be. For now, I'm reading all I can so I can be as prepared as I can. My husband knows about this of course, and one of my sisters, as she is also considering it. I will probably tell the rest of my family when my surgery gets close, although I haven't decided about that yet. I don't plan on telling anyone else. I'm either debating whether or not to tell my son, he's 19. I may just tell everyone I have to have gallbladder surgery. I don't need to decide on that yet.
