Congrats to everyone for their surgery dates! I have mine June 3rd! I cannot believe that's only a few days. I have been trying to get all the laundry done, house cleaned, etc so my mother-in-law won't feel obligated to do it. She is coming in Tuesday to watch our four boys. I am still on the emotional roller coaster. So ready to get off that darn thing! How is everyone doing???

Mine too! Excitement, scared, nervous, doubt and back to thrilled all in 5 minutes! Overall I know this is good for me. I know I will do well, but my mind goes crazy...especially at night. sleeping has been difficult these last few weeks.

I like the premier Protein shakes as well. I've tried all 3 flavored and they are pretty good. I ordered some samples from unjury but I haven't tried those yet.

I am not required to do the liquid diet. I have to stay under 1500 calories though. My surgery is June 3rd.

Not much longer!!! I have been on a roller coaster of emotions these last few days! So ready for it to be here and move forward. I will have a catheter as well but no cleansing before surgery! I hope that goes well for you!

Yay! Congrats! I hope you get relief from the gas VERY soon! I haven't had my surgery yet but I had my gallbladder removed years ago and the gas pain was the WORST! Glad you made it! I look forward to reading about your success!

So I have 4 kids and now it seems like they are all getting a cough and not feeling well. I have surgery in a week and a half and I'm terrified I'm going to get sick and not be able to have surgery. My mother-in-law is coming up from another state to help with the kids while I'm at the hospital. Did anyone have this issue before surgery? I'm not supposed to be taking anything either so do I just hope for the best?

Hi! I am 42 years old as well. I will be 43 in October. Glad you are here and have made it as far as you have! Sorry about the hip issue. The older I get the more aware of the complications that can come from a simple fall. It's crazy! I have 4 boys and a wonderful husband. I am currently 232 and 5'1. I am SO READY FOR SURGERY! My date is June 3rd. Surgery date is coming soon! The 18th will be here before you know it!

Is sugar free gum an option? Or no? I haven't had my surgery yet but I am reading as much as possible.

Someone posted what their surgeon told them and I thought it really helped. If you have problems with overeating then the sleeve is for you. If you have other metabolic issues (high blood pressure, diabetes, etc) then bypass is a better option. I'm sure that's not word for word but that's what I got out of it....

Wait...WHAT???!! THERE'S AN OREO DIET??? Hahahaha! That made me giggle this morning. Thank you! Pre-op diet is going ok. It really has consumed my life! I try not to talk to everyone about it but can't help it sometimes. I am starting to get anxious now. I'm not sleeping well at all. I'm excited and nervous! So ready for June 3rd!
