    Officially 100 lbs Down!

Thank you! and I'm walking, yes! I also do squats with kettlebells from time to time. I need to take it up a notch though and start doing arm workouts and ab workouts. I'm starting to get excess skin

    Officially 100 lbs Down!

Had my gastric sleeve surgery on May 11th, 2015 and I couldn't be happier with my progress! Since January, I have lost a total of 100 lbs. I still am having trouble grasping that I lost so much weight in so little time, but I am absolutely ecstatic! I never thought this day would come. I feel great, clothes fit me better, I'm feeling more confident and I finally feel like I'm working towards the body I've always wanted but never thought I'd have. Not only that, doing every day things is so much easier. I fit into seats better, seat belts fit me, I don't have to squeeze through people when I'm at a party, stairs are much easier, just walking from point a to point b is so much easier. I feel more sociable because I'm less insecure. I find myself wanting to go out and explore new places and mingle with new people. Overall I just feel happier and excited about what's to come.

    Pureed Food

Hello all! My surgery is on Monday and as I'm looking ahead to my post-op diet restrictions, I am worried about the pureed food stage. I'm big on texture when it comes to food, so the thought of drinking pureed chicken and rice makes me want to vomit. What are some foods that you all found worked for you during the puree stage that are the same consistency but AREN'T actually pureed? Would pudding count? Would mashed potatoes count? Would applesauce count?

    Cheated on Pre-Op Diet--Help!

Thank you for the encouraging words! I am just terrified that my liver is large again and my surgeon will cancel the surgery. And then all of this will have been for nothing and I'm back to square one. I'm hoping that going all liquid or eating even less than I did before will put me back on track and shrink my liver in the next 13 days!
  5. Hello all, My sleeve surgery is scheduled for May 11th. I have been on a strict 600-700 calorie per day pre-op diet since Easter (about 4.5 weeks now). I was doing well and had lost 17 lbs up until last week around this time. I got so fed up with the nasty "food" they had me eating, that I just fell off the wagon. I ate like crap for three days. I then ate decently for 2-3 days. Then yesterday and today I slipped up again. I am really beating myself up about this and I can't believe I let myself do it. I fully intend on being as strict as strict can be until the surgery. I'm even considering doing all-liquid until then. With my surgery in 13 days, I am worried that my liver won't be shrunken enough and they will have to cancel the surgery. Anyone else have experience with this?
