Question: has anyone had an entire month of little loss?
Tauni replied to MarceMonster's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Thanks so much for this. It's been on my mind a lot lately. I've put my head down and have really stuck to my guidelines but I am now going to really increase my calories daily. I appreciate your all your advice. -
Question: has anyone had an entire month of little loss?

. I also had surgery the first of June and I am doing the same. I started exercise classes this month and I have been at the same weight and measurements. I am trying to increase my caloric intake now and I know that my body is just trying to adjust. I have been at 500 cal trying to get another 150 - 200 cal a day and keep my carbs down. That's been my struggle. I feel so much better with exercising regularly. -
You definitely need to call your insurance and ask them. I did the same thing and my ins did cover any complications. Also my Dr offered insurance to cover certain complications. It was through a different insurance company. Good luck.

Sleeved June 1st. Have been doing great from the beginning, losing at a good pace- 50 lbs gone. I have been walking 6 days a week 3-5 miles ea day. Then I started to work out, taking Pilates class 2x week and a power (cardio, stretching class) 1x week. The losing train stopped dead in its tracks. I have read so many stories about this happening but it still kind of hurts. I'm going to keep it going and hope for the best. Anybody else doing the same?

I am in my third week post op and I am wondering if it is normal for my left incision to be still extremely painful. I know that it is the one they removed my stomach from and there are stitches on the inside muscle. I mean on a scale of 0-10. This is probably an 8 (pain wise) My incisions are all healed, good color.

I was sleeved 6/1 and I was very hungry too. The good thing is that once my body got used to my new stomach size (about 5 days out) my hunger went away. I think it takes a bit for your body to adjust to your new stomach size. Everything is going great 4 wks.

is the three week stall really a thing?
Tauni replied to jamieq's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I was sleeved 6/1, lost 16 lbs in two weeks now I am at a standstill for 3 days. I have gone from about 275/350cal a day 500/650 cal a day. I'm thinking my body has to adjust to the additional calories???? -
GasX strips really work for me.

Sleeved on June 2, 2015
Tauni replied to Luv`n_all-of_Me's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also was sleeved on June 1st. I can drink 64 oz. of water with no problem. I have been getting "hungry" the last two days. I'm keeping a food journal daily and I'm eating between 450/550 calories 35/55 gram protein. I think I need a little more calories. Walking everyday too. -

I only had a 3 day pre op diet, on the second day I went to Von Maurer and looked at skinny clothes and my focus was stronger than ever.

It is real! I quit caffeine two years ago and I thought I had the flu at first. Horrible headaches, but it does get better after a week.
