No energy 3 weeks post op

In addition to the sound advice from the other responders, remember that you have just had major surgery. Yes effect of that trauma on your body combined with the after affects of general anesthesia could very well be the root cause of your lethargy. I had similar symptoms and needed to take a nap every afternoon. Big changes require time to smooth out. Give it at least six months. -
April 30th Surgery
Fitzthecat replied to waterdancersks's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am scheduled for April 30. My doctor had a schedule change so we had to push things back a week. That means I will have been on the liquid diet for three weeks on my surgery date. It really hasn't been a problem although I do appreciate the low-sodium boullion as a change to the shakes. -
Scheduled for April 30th. Original date was April 23rd but delayed because of Doctor's scheduling conflict. Means I will have been on preop diet for three weeks. Thank God for boullion or the shakes might have been terminally boring.

Is 62 too old? I'm gonna find out!
Fitzthecat replied to Magic Mojo's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
I am a little late to this thread but I will be 69 in July and am having RNY surgery on April 23. I'm on a Medicare advantage policy through Humana and they are covering my surgery, no problem. five away from surgery I'm so far my only costs have been two $45 co-pays. Currently in the middle of my pre-op diet. So far so good. I have not encountered any age issues in my dealings with my providers.
