Congrats on being banded! My doc told me to try to get 45-60 grams of protein in during the liquid stage. To be honest, I don't get much more than that now, but he said you need a decent amount to keep up your energy. Like Stocky said, if you add a little protein (like unflavored unjury) to certain foods you should be able to do it. Chocolate unjury in milk, for example, is an instant 28 ounces of protein in a single cup! Good luck to you! I hope to see you posting your meals on here regularly. It certainly helps me when I know I've stated that I'm throwing away my 100-calorie cookie packs and I'm really craving one the next day. I just KNOW I can't eat it because I SAID I wouldn't.

I've never tried alcohol. With my addictive personality I'd be an alcoholic in 3 months, flat! Lisa, I'm glad you're going to try the 3/4 cup thing. April 15 - Did 45 minutes on arc trainer & treadmill & then walked around a theme park for 7 hours, practiced Dance Dance Revolution for 45 minutes April 16 - Dance Dance Revolution tournament for 1 hour (I LOST to my stinking 15-year-old brother) April 17 - 20 minutes on treadmill, 15 on arc trainer, 15 on recumbant bike. Hiked Mt. Ogden for 30 minutes

Dang - that fill's KICKING IN! And it does that at the randomest times. I went to Lagoon, our local amusement park, yesterday. THAT is when my fill decided to kick in. 4/15/2006 B: 1 slice cold-cut turkey L: 1/2 chicken sandwich, with only the bottom peice of bread (this is when the fill kicked in and I PB'd) S: 3 chocolates from Sees D: 3 boneless buffalo wings S: 100 calorie pack chips ahoy I exercised in the AM and then walked all day at Lagoon with my boys, Eric, Trav and Bryce. Then I played DDR (and got almost to the "Normal" level) for 30 minutes.

Girl, at 1.8 cc's I could eat everything under the sun. I didn't get full faster, I just stopped eating after 3/4 cup and then 10 minutes later felt that full sensation that we both seem to lack when we eat. Apparently I only get that full sensation 10 minutes later so that's what I'm going after. And after you hit 1.5 cc's my doc only gives .1cc at a time, usually. So I feel your pain about getting these fills slowly. But honestly, I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm glad I didn't have perfect restriction right off. It gave me time to practice self-control and planning. Plus, my caloric intake didn't dramatically drop upon being banded so I was burning fat and carbs instead of muscle (as my metabolic test indicated). At 7 months out, my weight loss is just starting to take off, and I've already lost nearly 60 pounds! I don't think the "magic months" were the first 6 for me, but only because I got these fills slowly.

Hey Teresa. Yesterday was my 7-month mark and I've lost 59 pounds. I'm happy with that. My weight loss has just sort of started to take off because I've finally got some restriction. I didn't take a class. I used a program that plugs into your existing songs on iTunes and creates a personal training session. It's a pretty cool thing! Today I rode my bike in the beautiful weather and then had the Dance Dance Revolution tournament! I kicked butt!
