@@tnkrrbl ha.. I think that's my windshield (tho I swear that's not broken either). In real life it looks clean and well put together, I peeked inside and it looked very clean and new. (Yeah, I bet none of us will be feeling like shopping much, maybe family though if they tag along. There is a big pharmacy not far away, though you'd wanna take a taxi, to far too walk. There's a little one in the clinic too. And by the way, I'm impressed the Dr called you... That's awesome! Oh, ok... If I can maybe I'll stop by that day you have surgery, or next morning. That's so awesome your having it now. I'm very IMPATIENTLY waiting for June 12. -

Hey I stopped by the clinic today. Didn't have time to go inside, but wanted to know where it was. It's in a plaza with a lot of surgery centers, from plastic surgery, orthodontist to batiatric. It's also a couple blocks from a really cool market, that sells candy, vegetables, cheese, and spices. It's a really neat place for tourist is u have family coming with you, it's be a cool place for them to go for an hour or so. Anyway here's a couple pics, (only outside thru my my windshield) -

@@Helena101 no!! I only heard good things about them, unfortunately I switched d/t financial reasons only. By switching in able to fly my sister out here (she's an ER Nurse) to be with me the first week. And not worry about bills for a while. Oasis actually sounds like a dream, close to ocean and a Walmart (would have been great for my sis) u stay 4days 3 nights in avg. They have court yard to walk around outside. But then I realized I'm having this surgery for the long term goal and not just the hospital experience. It's too be healthier. And it takes so much worries away knowing my sister will be with me. Hey anybody going on June 12!?!? I'm officially scheduled for that day. -

Seriously!!!??? Same day!! Wow, that's awesome! I'm going to be alone for the first day & night, my sister will be able to join me at the recovery house. I'm a bit nervous going by myself. And find myself waffling this week, cause I just found out I'm on my own for first day. It will be so great to meet you. Got your back girl!!! We are doing this to be healthier and breed good habits for our kids! Yeah!!! -
@@4evertonya, I've not seen many posts in this forum but ask your agent to send you testimonials. She's got a list if emails of people who have gone there. I wrote to them and they all had super good experiences and some food tips too, like bringing gas-x strips!! I'm actually scheduled at another surgery center but it wasn't for anything bad is heard. I've heard Dr. Camelo is a great surgeon and that the nurses speak English. And the other Dr that takes care of you is awesome as well. By the way, if you bring someone with you they can stay in your room for free. I live here in Tijuana and have been by the clinic it's a block from a Walmart and about 3-4 blocks to the beach. It has a beautiful courtyard you can walk around in, so your not stuck inside all the time! Also pics in the Florence vs INT hospital forum.

@@hopefulmom76 oh my yes!!! I'm scheduled fur June 12 as well. I'm doing this so I can avoid getting diabetes and lots of other illnesses. And so I can be more active with my 6yr old and help him develop good habits, cause I already see him picking up some of my bad ones!!! I was going back and forth too, but I'm 40 years old and don't want to keep losing and regaining the same dang 15 lbs like I have for the past 10 years, when I need to use 80! So I know I have to do something different. Cause repeating the same diets, is just insanity! BTW for inspiration, I look at before and after sleeve pics. There's one forum under post gastric sleeve questions. -

Where you will be yes (I live here) like you said it is a big city so like you would in any city take extra precaution to lock car doors and keep purses with you. I've left my ATM card in the machine at the grocery store near where I live here in Tijuana, someone found it and looked for me in the store and gave it back!!! I was the only white girl. But you won't be...there will be other americans in that area. -

Ruben told me my sis couldn't stay the first night with me but the second night she could stay with be at recovery house for $40 cause they'd feed her and take care of her there too. for the first night they recommend a nearby hotel and I know there is a Starbucks nearby and a quick taxi ride to a museum and theater that has movies in English and mall. -

@@jentenorio, welcome and wow... You are blessed. I have sharp healthcare in CA, and they require, 6 months of supervised weight loss with THREE different diet plans like weight watchers for 6 months then jenny Craig for another 6 then medifast (for examples). So after a year and a half then I probably still don't be approved b/c I don't have another medical issue (yet). Like diabetes, high blood pressure, and/or problems with my knees where I can't walk well. Aaarrrgg... So that is why I've saved and am having my surgery in mexico. But I'm also feeling some of you guys pain in that my sister was going to come and be with me for my June 8 surgery, but now can't d/t work, I may have to wait another week!!! To June 15th. And they are going to have me out for 3 weeks (since in a nurse they are going to require that I be cleared to lift 50lbs before returning to work). Which would also put me post fourth of July... Returning to work...and time and a half pay. So disappointed there too. Anyway, in the long run, it will all be done and we will all have a tool to use to become healthier!!! -

It's best to have a passport in fact they'll tell you that you HAVE to have one, but you can cross back into the US without it, it just take a LOT longer, you can get a passport card for quite a bit cheaper than a book if you don't already have one, (it looks like a drivers license and let's you cross back in a bit quicker lane.). Double check with your agency though. I live here in TJ so just speaking from experience. BTW, make sure you get mexico plan on your cell before you come out you may not have a nice bill when you get back home. And then turn your data off when you cross into mexico. The clinic has Wi-Fi I think, and you could use make calls and send text free over the Wi-Fi.
