  1. Hi pre surgery I had normal HR of 65-75 but lately it has been a low as 44 beats per min. Today 55. I've realized my multivitamin doesn't include iron so I've started taking that and chlorophyll. Just wondered if anyone else experienced this.

    Seeking Buddies 5'2" & Under

@wagu, I'm still basically on mushies, protein drinks used to be hard on me too, I'm using premier protein 30gms of protein in one bottle. Sometimes it takes me all day to finish it (for breakfast and between meals) I use non-drowsy Dramamine and Zofran to combat the nausea. So sorry it's making you puke, just go to a different one or eat cottage cheese and other protein foods instead!

@wagu, I like your suggestions! I've been struggling to get in enough protein, and I know my calorie intake is low. Worried about my metabolism. I'm losing an avg 2 lbs a week and though I'm 12 weeks out in struggling to get off softs. Any tips? Exercise ideas?

    CA - San Diego

Hey im here in san diego area too... can I join the kaiser fb group? Need some pointers and motivation. In drinking my protein drink, but still having trouble tolerating much protein via food. I'm struggling to get out of softs and know my protein intake isn't what it should be. Also, at 500-800 calories a day, I'm only losing avg 2 lbs a week. Any suggestions? Exercise ideas? Btw I'm 12 weeks out, and 42 lbs down. Getting discouraged.

    Who Are You?

@@Dooter, hey I was homeschooled/Christian schooled from 1-12; and am now starting to homeschool my first grader. It's an adventure! Any tips?! I saw that u were a ballooner! I got to go to my first albuquerque balloon fest a couple years ago, it was amazing, we're going back this year, just me and my kiddo, hopefully I'll be much lighter by then so I can run around with him better. I'm 40, Christian, mom of energetic 6 year old, and p/t RN. Living currently in Tijuana working in San Diego. I had the sleeve because I saw my son becoming sedentary like me, I want to be active and be able to get out ands play with him more. That's about it!
  15. Well my hospital requires the dr to state you can lift 50lbs before you can go back to work. So I took 5 weeks, the pay was a bit less but they also didn't take taxes from it so it wasn't too bad. I wasn't able to tolerate any soft foods so was on clear to full liquids almost until I went back so I actually needed it, no energy.

    Low heart rate?

@@slvrsax, if your having dizzy and falling symptoms you should have your thyroid checked or see if your electrolytes are off. I started taking iron and chlorophyll pills along with my multivitamins ands now it's much better. ..in the upper 50's to mid 60's which is normal.

  19. @@amandae, I went back to the surgeon...that's the bonus of living here. Also he gives out hours cell number and told me to call any time. I've only had to 3 times. A lot of people follow up with their primary drs...and Skype or call the surgeon for their aftercare
