Who got the VSG abroad?
4MRB4PHOTO replied to Abroadsleeve's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Do you mean if a person who was a transvestite had the VSG surgery performed overseas (Travelling "a-broad"?) Never mind. I would ask your insurance provider and get your hands on a copy of their full medical plan coverage and verify it for yourself. I don't see why they shouldn't cover it, but some people posted that their particular insurance companies wouldn't. I don't know if this based on first hand knowledge or here say. -
Can your sleeve be stretched?

Also, isn't there some natural relaxation of the muscle during the months following surgery? -
Periods? I'm outta' here.

Follow your plan. You can have Taco Bell on occasion and in moderation later. Maybe have some refried beans if you are at the soft foods stage? (from the supermarket, don't go to Taco Bell) Hang in there, it gets better.

Can your sleeve be stretched?
4MRB4PHOTO replied to cuchas's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Some minor stretching can occur after a VSG, but the part of the remaining stomach is not that stretchable. Later on, some people may be eating past the point they begin to feel full. -
Other than the info I've thrown out here.. you don't know jack else...but go on...you're stupid know it all rant is entertaining Ahhh....going the mature name calling route, are we? HP is just another blow-hard, internet "tough-guy" behind a keyboard. Some people feel if they yell at someone or curse them out, then somehow their opinion is correct, your opinion is worthless and they are superior. I could have easily replied back with curse words too (I know them all). I'll just think of someone as that as "an eraser".

Many people choose not to take responsibility for their actions. We all have experiences and stressors that affect us. Some are quite intense, but it is up to us to deal with them and take responsibility for our own actions. I find myself going back to old habits of overeating and making less than stellar food choices many times. I have been working many long hours, there are stresses at home, my wife has never been very supportive and there have been emotionally trying events in my life, but ultimately it is up to me to deal with them in a positive way (or in the very least, in a less self-destructive way by not making these bad eating choices). I control what food I place in my mouth and the quantities. It is up to me to decide how successful I want to use this WLS tool to lose my excess weight. I noticed many people refuse to take responsibility for their actions, whether it is excess weight loss or life in general. I found an article with some nice quotes and suggestions on how we need to take responsibility for our own actions; I attached the link below: http://www.positivityblog.com/index.php/2009/03/13/7-timeless-thoughts-on-taking-responsibility-for-your-life/ Sometimes we need to put on our "big boy underwear" or "big girl panties" or both, if someone is a cross-dresser.

Weak... What did I do?
4MRB4PHOTO replied to Lisa_85's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Drinking while eating at the same time (or close together) will create a slurry and the food will pass through your stomach/get washed through quicker leaving you feeling less full and potentially leading to over eating. -
What are you eating for Super Bowl Sunday?
4MRB4PHOTO replied to Cape Crooner's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Thanks for the suggestion. I'll make some Tacos (based upon your suggestion of grilling up some chicken and steak ) -

SLEEVE OR BYPASS? WHY?
4MRB4PHOTO replied to LoveMyBypass's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Go to the websites of the ASMBS, major research hospitals, JAMA and other reputable sites for info. Those numbers seem very high. Maybe for total complications, but I wouldn't expect those numbers as deaths. I wonder how many of those people who died were extremely morbidly obese or had significant medical problems? The only numbers probably worse than that are the percentage of morbidly obese people who die before they make it to their 70's or 80's. -
Comments from only one sex
4MRB4PHOTO replied to Briardlady's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
If a guy is smart he never comments about a woman's weight, as in "Honey, does this dress make my butt look fat?" They probably noticed, but don't want to comment since they don't know how you may receive the compliment. -
Do you keep yourself well hydrated? Also, do you happen to be taking a large dosage of an Iron supplement?

I respect that you like to "call a spade, a spade". Not everyone may agree with your frankness, but sometimes the truth is hard to swallow (sometimes too are the chicken nuggets my wife makes, but that is a different story). We all need a little "tough love" (but in a positive, reinforcing way) from time to time. Lending a shoulder for someone to cry on, when they need one, is good; coddling doesn't teach someone to take responsibility for their own actions. I'm all out of metaphors.

Thanks for sharing this, it's very uplifting. You are very lucky to have wonderful, caring parents like that.

Baaaaad Puppy. You are suppose to go on the paper when you do that. LAME. BUT NICE TRY. You win. I can not possibly win against your well thought out and intelligent quips. I am only a common man, you must be superior to the rest of us since you have an extra chromosome.

I am sorry you are going through all of this. My only suggestions are to have both of you openly discuss your feelings with one another, address issues that bother each of you (in a constructive way) and seek counseling. I wish you the best.

I try to space my meds & supplements throughout the day. Some vitamins & minerals are better absorbed with food and some are absorbed better if they aren't taken with certain foods, medicines or other vitamins and other vitamins & minerals can affect the absorption of certain meds..

Hey! That's QUEEN hag to you! I am humbled to make your acquaintance, your Majesty.

People can shift their not taking responsibility and blame it on me. I have strong shoulders. (Gaining Weight By Over Eating High Caloric Foods/Not Exercising): "It's 4MRB4PHOTO's fault!". (Feeling Lousy/Poor Blood Chemistry Because You Don't Take Your Recommended Supplements): "It's 4MRB4PHOTO's fault!". (Become Dehydrated Because You Only Drink A Quart Or Less Of Liquids Every Day): "It's 4MRB4PHOTO's fault!". (The Toilet Lid Wasn't Lowered And Your Wife Complained): "It's 4MRB4PHOTO's fault!"; Well actually, I'll take the blame on that one in my home. Shuttt up...you actually took the time to type this...LMAO! You "LMAO?" Yeahhhhhhhh (clapping my hands). Good for you! Hurray!

Look on the bright side, at least you don't share any genetic information with them (no disrespect to your husband)!

Whew, I was scared, I thought this was a post that there are more than one Dr. Oz. As already suggested, fill up the up then pour it into a large measuring cup or fill it up from a smaller measuring cup.
