Going to definitely make separate areas for family & my food. Tonight going to make my SF jello and pudding don't like flavors of prepackaged ones available to me. What milk products is everyone using-- skim milk versus 2% milk.. wondering if I should buy skim.

Do you think maybe that is a new requirement? I first saw my doctor in September 2014 then I chickened out and went back in February 2015. Maybe after then they changed number of required supervised weight management visits.

The 2 year weight history, nutritionist visit, EGD Colonoscopy, annual mammogram, 3 consecutive months of supervised weight management. Sleep apnea test. I think that was it. It took about 5 months for me to get it all done or collect reports from other doctors for my surgeon.

Try Tums or Rolaid or call your dietician or doctor's office to see what they say.

Yeah i do think summer is probably busy. Also people go on vacation and there was that 4th of July weekend they closed both Friday and Saturday. So i am hoping that is reason for delay.

Not to mention the path to death is slow and not fun. Vision changes, circulation problems, and the damage it does to body organs. I don't even want to think I could one day need dialysis.

So I received a letter from insurance approving the overnight stay in the hospital after surgery. So now only the actual surgery is pending. Hope this is a good sign.

Well just called insurance and still no answer. Looks like on 7/16 the letter send to my doctor said they would have a response within 15 days so that means until 7/31 next Friday. I am going to start my preop anyway on Monday. Hoping others have better news today.

No i am still waiting i called Friday last week and was told they sent. A letter to my doctor to let them know they needed more time to review. I kept positive thinking my paperwork arrived around the 4th of July weekend so they are behind. Going to call after work today. A little nervous but I have faith so I am preparing to start preop on Monday.

Garbekr0118 I hear you. I am sure its alot harder when you are in the 2 weeks. But I have to tell you that you are a winner because today you followed your plan for a new life! How sweet it is the thrill of Victory! You will make it good luck.

I know life will get better. I have the products from unjury. Going to plan out what to take to work each day so it goes smoothly. Also going to stay busy and away from kitchen and restaurants. Its only for 2 weeks thats nothing - basically a pay period lol.

My Doc did say I would probably go home on NO MEDS! OMG the reality of that just hit me. He also said to check my blood sugar during pre op diet in case low I would need to decrease or stop the Metformin.

And its gonna be such a Healthy, Energized and Thinner Prize!! I can't wait.

So how long after surgery were you finally rid of all meds? I also have sleep apnea with a cpap. I want to kiss it goodbye also!

I have this evil disease. Diagnosed in January I took a month to try and change diet and lost a little but knew it wasn't going to make a difference. That day I called to make my first appointment with surgeon and started my almost 8 month journey. My sleeve is scheduled August 10th @ 1pm. My only problem now is the insurance still hasn't finished reviewing and the approval is still pending. I continue to plan for it and my surgeon was very positive it would be approved. Hoping to say GOOD BYE to Metformin forever!!

The focus should be why is it important to shrink the liver and that should motivate anyone to do their best to follow doctor's orders. One time cheat should be fine just remember everything is planned to promote the best outcomes. Best Wishes to all I start my pre op diet on Monday.

Anyone know of any gummy type vitamins? I bought Celebrate chewable Multivitamin but it is BIG and tastes a little chalky.
