Where in the law does it say airlines need to seat you? And you don't know me! I travel 10-12 times year for business alone. I am lucky enough to not be shaped to have spill over but I get looks. And you got your money back for the second seat when you lossed it. Airlines over book, but again its to squeak as much cash as they can out of the system they are limited to. I don't want to hear about rights you THINK you have. This is what you have a right to: To a 16" seat just like everyone else Buy a larger seat if you can afford it Make the insurance payment to reserve your seat for some arilines Only book with airlines you can be guarantee the seat you want. If you don't want to do that then fine, but do;t hold up my plane because you can't do any planning or cannot buy a ticket unless its through priceline then bitch about not getting the seat you want. Don't fly at all. My god there are plenty of airlines out there that have bigger seats. But of course, your special and want EVERY airline to be the same. Thanks, but no thanks. I'll take my tight seat and my $150 plane ticket. The only discrimination going on here is discriminating against the airlines. Because its so easy since everyone hates them anyways. Hmmmm, wonder if thats the same reasoning obese people are discriminated against?

Except its the attendants job to look out for a trouble BEFORE they get on the plane. Everything takes longer and harder to fix when your on the plane playing musical chairs with seats. Is it wrong to ask me if I won't be able to sit in a regular seat with my cast? Is it wrong to ask a man in a wheel chair if he needs to be in a front seat? Is it wrong to tell that person with 300lb carry on that she will have to check it in. Obesity is like any other handicap, and when you complain that a service is acknowledging that handicap then you are only embarrassing yourself. Some obese people need to get off their "oh poor me, don't talk about my weight" mentality and maybe they will be confident enough to fix their disability. Wish a blind man or quadriplegic had that choice.

On another note, airlines have to work around weather and breakdowns of not only the directly affected flight but all flights that connect some how to that one. It would be stupid for a airline to write a contract stating they will accomdate everyone all the time everytime cause it couldn't happen. Weather delays and breakdowns happen enough that it would sink any airline who had to reimburse everyone for it. But again, if you want more from your airline, you will either have to actually shop for a good airline and maybe even pay their "insurance" fee's instead of just looking on expedia for the lowest price.

I don't work for the airlines. And my friend says he never has problems wherever he goes. I fly with him once a year so I am guessing he isn't lying cause he got the bulkhead evertime. He did however say that sometimes he has to pay a little fee to reserver that seat depending on what carrier he is useing then. I am trying not to defend the airlines for their poor busines decisions. But aircraft makers spend alot of R&D on three aspects of commerical airplanes: Space saving, fuel effeciency, and low maintenance. That one or two seats you want to "turn" into bigger seats would cost the airlines hundreds of thousands of dollars PER PLANE.
-
They are called first class seats. Even if they did do that, why should someone else get more room then me when I paid the same price? Also, I would be even more embarrassed if I had to sit in the "fat" seats while everyone else passed me by. I have a friend that goes to Vegas with me every year. He is 6'4" and never had a problem getting front row seats for leg space. NEVER! They don't change the contract, if they did you could get your money back. Any change they do to your seating or flight schedule IS covered in the contract. So they don't change the contract.
-
Ya and if we double the size of the seats you might as well double the ticket prices too. Do you really think if it didn't cost much the airlines wouldn't just make lazy-boys recliners for all passengers? This just amazes me. Why are you "ENTITLED" for a privatley owned company to cart your butt around? In fact, most airlines give discounts and actually seen free tickets for someone who needs to make a funeral. Your not entitled to nothing but whats on that contract when you buy your ticket.

Actually this is the least crazy story I heard from fundamentalist christians. And welcome back! Was getting stuffy in here when you left.
-
Though I agree with you they shouldn't have talked to your sister right in front of everyone, they have to ask her those questions then. Like Wheetsin said, if she couldn't get the armrests down she would ahve been forced to get another ticket. Imagine what would happen if she sat down and couldn't get the armrests down. The staff wouldn't be able to know that till everyone is in the plane and they check everyone's seating. They would then (in front of everyone) notice she couldn't fit and tell her so, then and there. Now, not only is everyone hearing she is too big for the seat, but now people are upset cause she is holding things up. This always gets me about some obese people. First they say I have a disease, or mental problem, or something else medical that makes them big. Fine, being obese would be a handicap, which is true since you can't do somethings a normal person can do. So why can't airlines and others treat you like they do any other handicapped person? Is your handicap worse then others? When I broke my leg and had a cast, was it wrong for them to ask me in line if I needed an front seat cause my leg wouldn't bend? Obese people can't have it both ways. I just don't see how this is discimination.

Also, don't forget, for alot of insurance it also depends on "who" is reviewing your files a that time. So just because somone with your insurance got excepted "easily", doesn't mean you will have such an easy time also.

I beleive this is the main reason why doctors say lower your carb intake. We are suppose to have limited food intake and need to maximize nutrition intake. We should get enough complex carbs by just choosing healthy things, like just about any vegatable we choose. However lowering simple carbs and complex carbs does lead to: More energy Higher Metabolism Less Hungar Longer sense of fullness These are all things that makes Atkins diet successful. Most people who tried the diet had most of these symptoms.

Why am I bloated?

Is it the baking soda and milk that usually makes you burp? If so that may be bad. -
I'm in the same boaot. I don;t think I have palputations but have rapid and hard heart beats that come and go. I've been monitored man times since my father has a heretic heart disease and I need to be checked yearly. anyways, after ekg's, echoes, and stress tests I always get tested negative for any heart problems. I have acid reflux, so once in awhile I get a sharp "twinge" in my chest and I always think its my heart. Usally I start to feel dizzy, heart beats faster and can feel like its going to pop out my chest. Basically its a panic attack. Doctors don;t like calling that but half these situations that doctors say os due to stress, are acutally panic attacks. Anything, stress, unkown pain, anything can trigger it. I've learned to deal with it but I know it would get worst if I didn;t see a doctor every year for my checkups.

My Doctor told me I should seek out getting the band done in Dec. Had a consultation with the surgeon on Jan 2. He told me what I needed, had a sheet on what package of records and tests I needed done. Finished everything including my Psych eval by the Feb 5. The surgeon's office called back and said they needed more documentation from my PCP and so they called his office and they sent more. Well that apparently wasn't enough so now they are bouncing back and forth. Now its April 13th and my head is about to explode because the surgeon is waiting on just one letter from my doctor before they send into the insurance company. Now I hear 3 people who had to wait 5 weeks before the same insurance company would approve. I am very depressed because I love my surgeon but I am suppose to be moving to Florida by the end of the summer and don't know now if I should stick with him or after I get approved just find a new doctor in Florida. Should I stay on course get approved and have the surgery? Should I get approved then see if the surgeon will refer me to another surgeon in Florida? Should I tell both my PCP and WLS surgeon I am moving and to forget the whole thing? I really don't know because I am worried about these things: 1. Surgeon finding out I am moving and flat out refuse to do surgery and shut the door. 2. PCP will find out I am moving and shut the door on approving me. 3. If no one knows I am moving, will I be able to find a doctor to help me after I get surgery. 4. If I get approved and the surgeon won;t do it now will I have to get pre approved again if I change to a Florida doctor?

I personally think spanking is not the only option to discipline a child right. However I think parents should be able to spank them if they choose to. For any people not sensetive to vulgor stuff south park has a nice episode on how to "train" your child. If you love the dog whisperer you will love this episode. This little horror story I am about to share probably doesn't have much to do with the core of your rant. But I also hate it when mothers bings into diners and stuff these huge car seats, crazy. Anyways, sorry for this bad story ahead of time if folks are sensitive. Anyways, a lady that worked with my wife had a infant baby. Every morning when both her and her husband worked they would take their baby to a day care. The day care was just someones house but was really nice and the people were caring. When they dropped off their baby they would leave them with the care takers with the car seat. One morning the husband dropped the baby off, left the baby in the car seat in the basement where the main play space was for the children. Well a hour later children headed outside, for "outside play" time. The baby was still in the car seat. The supervisors spent 20 minutes getting kids ready to go outside and then went downstairs to get the baby. Cutting to the chase, they found the baby dead in the carseat. Not sure how the baby was positioned but it was later found out the baby's circulation was cut off in the neck by the belt, passed out, and died. Sad story. And to this day I freak out whenever I see my nephew or niece sitting in a carseat.

APPROVED...but i have a question about hospital deposit!
snuffy65 replied to MSnika3's topic in Insurance & Financing
Have you looked at getting a loan? There is plenty of companies that give out short term interest free loans for medical procedures and/or deductibles. I used a place but my wife has the info with her. Was easy to fill out and we had bad credit at the time and we still got approved. I paid $200 a month for 10 months for a $2000.00 loan. -
After which fill did YOU really start losing!

And the article you posted was from a financial expert that knew what Al Gore has invested in? How do you know Jesse Ventura is wrong when he said that Air fuel couldn't melt those beams? Your trying to differentiate the two and you can't. They were both made by people that are not experts and both of them had no evidence whats so ever. Both articles didn't extend upon anything to help substantiate their claim. So, the only reasoning behind the fact that you can't differentiate the two, is cause you are bias when you read these kinds of stories and choose to overlook the obvious "this reporter has no evidence of his claims" mentality if it suits you.

1st, i didn't think you were just a right wing nut. I still don't. I have to question your thinking because every misleading article you posted is fomr a right winged site. Also, I have yet to see you step on any republican toes. Since i haven't step on any lefties toes here's some things i support: Fair Tax School Vouchers (Including Homeschooling credits) No Nation building (which is a Conservative stance that republicans definitely have ignored.) Pro Guns

Problem is its more then just a house. It's an office for him and his employee's. Also is a reception place for media and business clients. Considering the power needs of that home it might take awhile. My wife is in florida and it is taken 3 months on a permit for just a privacy fence to be put up. The point was made that George Bush is the President and don;t need all that. However even if Crawford is just a vacation home, the President has security, advisors and media personnel ALWAYS. where do you think they stay? I bet its not all in that little house. And the most upsetting thing is that vacation home is no more then a Symbol for him. That family is a NE American family pretending to be cowboys for that oh so coveted "Reagan" look.
