Not at all. Send anytime as many times you like. Weekly, daily, monthly, it don't really matter. Updating just takes a few seconds.

Cathy, if your on regular solid foods you shouldn't be worried about protein much. Heck, 1/4 of turkey or tuna will give you almost half the protein needed for the day.

Just PB'd and I don't think I'm finished yet!!

Ya could be the chicken as well. OR the way your cooked the eggs. This is the reason my doctor told me to slowoly and indiviually add more items to my solids menu. So its easier to find out exactly what I can and cannot eat. I know, I know, easier said then done. -

I heard eggs go down pretty harsh for alot of bandsters. So, it might be hit or miss for alot of people. Yes, my doctor told me also to go on liquids for two days after major PB's or vomitting. I already PB'ed on some cottage cheese, LOL. I took too big of a bite. I still have to work on eating and drinking slowly and small bites and sips. -
They do use lidocaine. Also, for your first fill do not look at the needle until you realize how much it doesn't hurt. That needle is huge, lol.

I know us June people are all on different diets at the moment (clear, full, solids). But was wondering what everyone is planning on eating for our first holiday on the band! I am on the Full liquid diet, so will treat my self to some strained tortilla Soup and sugar free popsicles all day.

Banded on June 25th and have a ? about shoulder pain.
snuffy65 replied to lorimaxine9969's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't want to scare anyone but my brother-in-law had his appendix removed two months ago. It was done like a lapband (laproscopicly). He still has the shoulder pain couple times a day. It says in my booklet the bariatric center gave me that the pain can stay 6-12 months. So anyways, Iasked about the 6-12 months and they said they had people with the pain for that long. But usually at the most a onth or two then the pain goes down to a mear annoyance level. -
Anymore June bandsters out there????

What will YOU eat on the 4th of July?
snuffy65 replied to snuffy65's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Like a margarita? Haha just kidding! -
one more thing. 3 meals + 3 Protein shakes? That seems a bit much. After two weeks post op I was told to only drink a shake if I wasn't getting enough protein in by the end of the day.

I too have restriction right now. I can barely get all my liquids down. I just had my 2 week appointment and the nutritionist said 1 out of every 10 people she has seen with lapband didnt't need a fill for at least their 1st 6 months. May be I will be on of those lucky ones. -
Sorry your having such a rough time. I guess everything you have mention is pretty normal. The only unormal thing is that your experiencing all of those symptoms. I guess the only question I have is if your hungry all the time and have no restriction couldn't you eat more or are things going down too slowly?

Her own family has admitted that she all the sudden picked that accent up. Oh, funniest thing I saw on her show was when Bobby Flay was on there and made fun of her about her fake accent. I forgot what he exaclty said but the crwod just went silent when he did.

Wow, alot of the people hating RR have no clue what her show is? I comments like "who has that stuff in there kitchen", "bypass patient couldn't eat what she is cooking", "she goes on and on". Most people do have the stuff in their own kitchen to cook what she's cooking. She has one of the most down to earth recipes compared to other TV cooks. Bypass patients can eat alot of her stuff. Other then the pastas she makes, she always cooking healthy with lean Proteins and good veggies. She suppose to go on and on. How many people would watch a cooking show with the cook only saying "throw a cup of sugar here". "Mix well then spread on pan". No TV cook does this. They all share stories and experiences while cooking and they all keep talking.

I like RR also. Her raspy voice and far from perfect body and persona is what makes me want to wtch her. You want to talk about perky, how about Giada? I like Giada but sometimes she is in that perky "I'm perfect" mode. But anyways is RR fricken stupid? I don't think so. Was what she said dumb? Probably, but she ain't perfect and thats the way I like her. PS: My wife made me buy her pan set she uses on 30 minute meals. I have to admit those are some awsome pans.:smile2:
