I had my surgery on April 23rd at 7:30am. Of course my friend came on the 22nd which sucked since you wear a tampon. I was out of surgery around 1pm. I have been in ICU since Thursday afternoon. My doctor said I will be in here until Monday, Tuesday the latest. Monday, he is going to do the stomach test to see if everything is working properly. I won't have anything to drink or eat until Monday. Prepost weight 274 14 days of liquid diet, cheated twice Day of surgery 258.4 I am not sure how much I weigh now and my body is swollen from the gas that they fill your tummy before surgery and the fluids that are going into me 24/7.

I can't believe I am having surgery on Thursday. How did everyone's surgery go this month? Any suggestions or things to expect?

My date is April 23rd. Is anyone having a hard time with this liquid diet? I have been drinking unjury, isopure, different kinds of shakes and I am tired of everything already. I just started yesterday and I cheated today. It wasn't really bad but I had hard boiled egg whites and a small piece of boneless skinless chicken. Any suggestion??

Surgery date April 23. I started my liquid diet yesterday and I lost 4 pounds. I am so hungry and I am already tired of drinking protein drinks. I am still shocked by the people that don't have to do a liquid diet before surgery.

My friend had bypass done in February and she told me that was ate hard boiled egg whites (no yolk) throughout the 2 week liquid diet. She said her surgery was fine and the doctor said everything looked good. Has anyone else tried egg whites or other alternatives?
