About Me

  • Gender
    Female
  1. I am a former sugar addict! I ate frosting for breakfast almost daily and literally at candy and sugar food all day everyday for years and years. Now that I've had sleeve surgery I cannot stand the thought or sight of sugary foods. I struggle with sugar free pudding when I have it once in a while because I don't like the sweetness. Has this happened to anyone else? I feel that it is a blessing because I was never a big eater but was obese do to way to many sweets.
  2. The only things I actually used were Chapstick, tooth brush/ paste, hand lotion, bathrobe, slippers, cell phone/ charger. I just wore the clothes home that I came to the hospital in because as soon as I got home I soaked in my bath tub with bubble bath and just enough water to cover the top of my legs.
  3. Thank you so much! I agree, I think I needed a good meal to kick start my weight loss again.
  4. I'm day 25 post op and have had a stall for the last week and a half. No matter what I did the scale was stuck! Well, I went out for Mexican food with my family last night for a celebration for my daughter's softball teams big win. I just let myself relax and enjoy some " real food" and had just a few chips and 3/4 of a small cheese enchilada made with a soft corn tortilla. I was full as this was the most food I have eaten since surgery. Well just for fun I got up and weighed today and the scale finally moved! I'm down 1.5 pounds from yesterday!! So happy it's finally going the right direction

    Panic attacks and anxiety post-op

I was sleeved 4/6/15 and suffer from anxiety as well. Since having surgery I feel that it has helped because worrying about weight related health issues that I was always worried about has vanished. I know feel much more relaxed knowing I'm headed in the right direction. I've gone from a 20/22 size pants to a size 16 already! You will not regret this surgery. I have had zero complications because I have done exactly as I am told by my surgeon. Good luck
  6. I felt like you did and wasn't sure about all of the restrictions. Granted, I'm only 2 weeks post op I KNOW it was the right decision for me. Recovery was not that bad, much better than I anticipated! I have had zero nausea, diarrhea or any issues. I'm so happy I did it and I've already had compliments on my weight loss.

    3 Days Post-op Weight Gain?

I'm 10 days post op, I came home 5 lbs heavier too. It's no big deal the fluid weight came off in e few days. Saw my suergeon today and I get to start " very soft foods" on Monday. The first think I'm going to have is a small amount of homemade mashed potatoes. Beyond excited for something delicious!
  8. It's Pacific brand Organic Black Bean Soup. It's has great flavor, lightly spiced and its smoothe, no chunks. I add a small dollop of sour cream and it makes it rich and very satisfying. I was sleeved on April 6th and doing great
  9. April 6th the day of my surgery I weighed 252, when I was discharged 2 days later I gained 5.5 pounds from IV fluids/ swelling. Now 8 days later I weigh 247 so I've lost the water weight plus 5 more pounds. I feel that's reasonable. I know the feeling of it wanting it to come off sooner but I hope that I'm on track with where I should be.
  10. You are so pretty! You look great
