I believe so. They'll tell ya at your surgeon's appointment. But I had a checklist everyone goes by from the insurance lady. Some things were added and crossed out depending on each person's ailments. Got this my first visit.

Not here either -
Endoscopy. They have to look down our throats into our stomach's to make sure all is good. That way if any issues, you can get addressed in the time before surgery too.

Hello Im just starting the process
perk4756 replied to Tazi's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I'm in Kentucky, but welcome to listen and share all my experience with anyone. New to this too. Just started on April 1st. Already have all my testing done except for my endoscopy. Everyone's testing depends on their physical problems. At my first visit they went over a detailed list of ailments which told them which tests I needed for surgery. They also had already ran my insurance, but I had called the company myself to see my cost. Lot's of people on here willing to listen and answer many questions. Good luck ???????????? -

Im here if you need me but if you want local support search for a georgia thread or start one yourself! I'm learning how common weight loss surgery has become! It's support everywhere! -

I am glad my surgeon is the gastroenologist too. Plus my family Dr and pain Dr have taken care if alot of the other tests. Have already gotten all the tests except the endoscopy done. Which my surgeon does.. my other Dr's were on board with all this from the beginning since I take 16 different medicine's. Gonna hopefully be losing half after weight loss we all hope. My family Dr's office is attached to my cardiology Dr. He's on board too since I have a stent. Getting excited! -
