Trudiva posted a topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Hi all, I was sleeved on May 18th and so far, am doing pretty well. I need sleeve buddies who were sleeved on 17,18,19 and 20th May to share our journey. We can have our forum here and also share our progress and challenges on my fitness pal. Please feel free to add me @trudyvera. Stay blessed y'all. -

Nerves and what if's. Please help!

Honey that's the most reassuring message I have read all day. And yes I am just 35 with no problems. I am very active and the only reasons for my decision are better health in future as my mum died after battling with two strokes and spending almost 5years in a wheelchair. Plus me wanting a healthier lifestyle for my self, kids especially and my husband who is very thin and makes me look like the worlds fattest wife????????????. But I so happy to hear from you. -
Thanks for your input. Point well taken and I am really not stressing that I lose all that by the end of the year. Having read lots of posts I am well aware that I may not even see the said number. Although I would like to work towards reaching it.

To all of you going through pain, I am so sorry for your pain. And will remember you in my prayers. My head is totally screwed after reading all of your posts. And had I not paid already for my op on the 18th of May, I would have backed out. I have three young kids with a hubby who works away and is the breadwinner of the family with no external family near. And as much as I am aware of the possibility of a complication post op, I can't help to think if I want to put myself and family through this should I have a complication. I begged my hubby to fund the op for me and he reluctantly agreed after several months of pushing the idea. Is it just nerves that I am going through. Did anyone have similar experience pre op? ************** And please before you bash me, I have done more than a year's research about the sleeve and I am well informed. Just having these last minute issues. Tia

Anyone having it done on 18th? That's my date. -
Hi everyone, I go by the name Trudiva and i have been part of this group for a while now however this is my first post. I was lurking in the shadows and reading lots of the post which i must say has been quite informative to me. I have learnt so many things from here and I am glad to say my journey is about to commence. I am scheduled to have my op on 18th May 2015 and yes the nerves are screaming so hard but i am also excited to start a new life. My highest weight was 115kg and currently i weigh 112kg. I have started my Optifast diet for about a week now and i am liking the results that i am seeing. My goal weight is 75kg and i am hoping to get there before Dec. I am interested in making new friends here on and sharing with them tips, progress results and anything about healthy living. Feel free to friend me and lets get this party started already!
