Good day everyone! Well, I got fat. Really fat. Over the past 12 years, I have gained 150 lbs. It seems like it happened overnight. Before that, I was extremely fit, worked out daily, and ate whatever I wanted. It catches up to you quickly. I decided I wanted weight loss surgery 8 years ago but was declined by my insurance because my place of employment is self insured and bariatric surgery wasn't covered. This year, they finally decided to cover it and I took the first appointment they had available in 2015. I am scheduled for my sleeve on July 21st, 2015 and I couldn't be more excited. I'm a little nervous, but that is alleviated by the pure joy I get about thinking of my new and improved self. I have eaten enough food to last me a lifetime and I'm ready to make changes that are necessary and timely.
My experience thus far has been mixed. I am still in the process of making some decision regarding my surgery and doctor, but to completely honest, I'm not asking the questions I should. That brought me to this site, which is amazing.
Oh, and I'm a Pisces. :)
