I had the sleeve a little over 3 years ago, I lost 100 lbs, but gained 30 last year and then 24 during my pregnancy. I had my baby in June and I've lost 10 lbs but I can't seem to lose anymore. I really do not eat much, but I know I definitely do not eat all healthy. Unfortunately I have sugar cravings and eat a little something every now and then. What can I do to get back on track? I NEED to start losing again, I'm starting to hate myself.

Yes, it's actually my one and only pregnancy so far. I'm not sure why it says you have to have a c section, I did not and I'm in a group on Facebook and most of them did not either.
-
No, I had no idea about that and I definitely don't eat that many carbs a day, especially not before this test. I didn't even know I was going to be taking it, I had switched doctors and it was my first visit and they sprung it on me.
-
So I'm apparently dense, my OB had me do a glucose test last week and they just called me with the results, it was 146 and normal is 130. I had no idea that I was drinking a high sugar drink...it explains why I had issues afterwards though. This is my first baby and I've never had this kind of testing done so I guess that can somewhat explain my ignorance. I started researching after they told me the results and realize now I shouldn't have done the test for many reasons, is is possible that it showed that high only because of the drink/my surgery? Could it be false? They want me to come in for a 3 hour fasting and do more of it, but I want to go a different route. I don't think they understand how gastric surgery effects our bodies and how we process things differently now. What has your doctors said? Did you have a false high?

How many calories/carbs are you eating a year out? How much exercise are you getting? Are you still losing?
-
What were you eating? And I see you had your surgery in 2013, how much weight have you lost in total?
-
I've never gotten the hang of figuring this it and I'm hoping someone on here can help me figure it out. If I'm burning 400 calories a day at the gym, how many calories should I be eating in a day to make sure I'm still going to lose and not go into starvation mode because I'm not getting enough. I've kind of hit another stall..weight loss has really slowed down. I'm a little over 8 months out. I changed up my work out routine, something I do when I hit a stall. I'm really loving what I changed it to but I'm burning alot more calories now.

It is very easy to get caught up. I really try not to eat alot of carbs. What I get is usually from 1 bar a day and whatever might be mixed in with stuff I eat. What is your calorie limit? People have stated different amounts on other posts, I'm curious as to what yours is. Eating a Protein bar a day helps me with meeting my protein intake for the day. The atkins ones are really good btw, you should give them a try.

I believe every doctor is different. While that may be true for you it is not for me. Yes, that was the pre surgery diet, but it is my post surgery diet as well. My doctor said no more then 50g carbs a day and he doesn't even really want that. He also didn't have a set calorie amount for me. But as I am working out I have to make sure I am eating enough calories or I will have another long stall like I did before.

Ok, I found another brand that is awesome. Think thin, 20g of Protein, no sugars, it's a little higher in carbs then atkins but not by much. I bought the chocolate strawberry and lemon delight to give them a try, they're expensive at 2 for $3. I tried the lemon delight today and I'm in love.
-
I know, atkins is low in carbs because you subtract the fiber and sugar alcohol. The bars other people mentioned just had sugar, it didn't say sugar alcohol so that can't really be subtracted. I'm guessing you're pretty far along to be eating more then 50g carbs a day? My Dr wants us to eat as low as possible, but no more then 50g a day.
-
Ok, so I was at the store today and looked at a couple of the brands yall mentioned and they are really high in carbs...did your nutrionist say you could eat these? The atkins bars that I eat are extremely low in carbs and I was told they were good to eat.
-
I pretty much like all the flavors except the cookie dough one.
-
The mudslide bar has 1 sugar, 3 carbs and 15 Protein. They range depending on what you get, some have 16 or 17 protein. They have meal bars, snack bars and treats and of course protein shake. They also actually have meals but I don't like them. The atkins diet is a low carb, high protein diet which is what we're suppose to be on so it's perfect.
-
Quest are the nastiest bars, they literally taste like protein bars, you might as well drink a protein shake. Sure, they come in nice flavors but they don't taste like it at all. I eat atkins protein bars, those actually taste good.

I haven't lost any inches on my legs or arms and it's extremely annoying. How long was it before you started losing there?
-
I'm losing inches, it's just been all in the middle area which I'm not complaining about, I love it. I just wish something would happen in the other areas too. I'm 3 and a half months out

What protein mix do you use? One that preferably tastes ok mixed with water. I need to increase both water and protein intake some more.
-
So I bought a vanilla protein powder mix, a carb conscious kind and mix with the mootopia milk from heb. It's a milk shake consistency and very sweet, I can't really drink the whole thing. Are they suppose to be this sweet and thick? Or is it just the kind of powder I bought?

A blessing or a curse?

I eat every 2 or so hours, not big meals, but that's how I maintain protein and because I get hungry -
Breast smaller due to weight loss
tnf0920 replied to byebyefat's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I haven't lost cup size yet thank God, just band size. I don't really want mine to shrink, I prefer having bigger breasts. Either way I'll be getting surgery on them. -
So anything I drink counts towards the fluids I need? I thought it was specifically water I needed.

So I'm curious to hear from people that have lost 100lbs or more and who did toning exercises. Did you end up with lose skin? Very little? Or because you were toning as you were losing, no lose skin? I don't want to end up with so much that to look half way decent I'd need plastic surgery. I'm ok with some, but not where it looks like I'm nothing but lose skin. Women - did thigh and arm toning exercise help? What did you do for the stomach? How often, how long?
-
I figured that that was how it was going to be in the end, was just holding out hope. For the ones that got the plastic surgery, would you mind if I asked how much it cost? I'm interested in tummy tuck and breast lift off the bat.

All the lose = loose, my swyping isn't very good today.
