    What is your goal weight?

I had 3 goals. The first was to be 127 which is exactly half the weight I was at my first appointment. I've checked that one off the list. The second is 123 which is the high end of normal BMI. I'm 2 pounds from that goal. My third goal is to be somewhere around 120 so I have a bit of wiggle room. I may not get there quickly as my loss has slowed down, but I WILL get there!

    How much have you lost?

    Surgery was in May, 2014 3 months - 55 lbs 6 months - 84.9 lbs 1 year - 122.7 lbs
  5. I see both. My surgeon and PCP are acquainted with each other and have worked together to resolve any problems that have arisen. If a problem does arise and it seems to me that it may be sleeve related my first step has been to send my surgeon an email and let him decide who I should see.

    How to be Successful?

I would also suggest you try to increase your fluids, particularly if you're exercising as much as you are. I try to keep my Water intake between 80-100 oz and I can always tell by how I feel and how the scale reacts when I'm below that amount!

    How to be Successful?

I know this isn't what you're looking for, but my answer would be follow your surgeon's plan, drink a ton of Water and exercise. I've lost 98% of my excess weight and don't plan on stopping until that number is at 100%. I did it by following my surgeon's plan, keeping an open line of communication with him (if I have a question, I send an email, get a response and follow his advice) and attending all scheduled follow up appointments. I chose my doctor for a reason, he has a proven track record of successful patients. Why wouldn't I follow his advice? I also track my food in myfitnesspal and make sure my Protein and Fluid numbers are on point every single day. I also made a commitment to exercise and I've stuck to it. A minimum 5 times a week. My last bit of advice is to have a good attitude and enjoy the ride. As someone said to me, learn to love the process and the results will come. Good luck!

    Don't hate me

The Loft is great and their sizing isn't as crazy as WH/BM. I'm trying to get in the mindset of buying what fits and feels right, rather than going strictly by the size on the tag. Takes some getting used to!
  20. I completely agree. I'm 6 lbs from my goal weight, based on BMI (although I might reevaluate that number) so although I'm not yet in maintenance, I'm close. Rather than scale goals, which are much harder to come by these days, I've started focusing on fitness goals. I'm trying to increase my lean muscle mass, or increase my speed when I run. I found that having a goal is important to my continued success as I stay more focused when I'm striving for something.

    Don't hate me

I agree about White House Black Market, the sizing is crazy. I'm usually a 6 petite, but I was in there over the weekend trying on jeans and I fit into a size 2 (being only a year out and getting used to shopping for smaller sizes, I actually went into the dressing room with size 8s). The sales woman even tried to talk me into trying a size 0 because "they'll stretch." Great place to shop and boost your mood at the same time!
