Anyone have any advice my Insurance Co. wrote back and said I hadnt had a nutritional assessment or follow up plan I went to my dr for a Dr's weight program They wanted that so I thought that was good enough, I wnt for 8 weeks like they wanted, and they also said Lap Band is Experimental/Investigational Thanks for any advise anyone could give me. HI I am going thru the same thing, I go to the same Dr. we were just getting ready to send in my ins info. I just finnished a 10 wk program with my pcp, not sure who to go to. They say make sure who ever you get has experience, or the complicated rate is higher I am thinking about Dr.Ponce in Chatt. He has a great record. I hate the thought of starting all over again as well, it is has already been a long road. :think

That sounds good when is the 6-week get-to-gether? I live in spring city where do you live? We could be support for each other. Can't hardly wait til it happens.

Hi Dody, I am using Dr. McAlexander I like him alot I like his program, and he has a very high success rate. I was going to use Dr.Ponse, in Chattanooga but after they never called my insurance co back after they called there office twice, I decided that could be the call if I will be approved or not. I also want to have it done in early spring.

Hi I am in the process of getting my insurance to pay for lab band, they want me to go thru a dr program 1st so I will, does anyone know the code for morbid obesity? I want to make sure my Dr. office is filing it with that code, so there is no questions from the ins co. Thanks Trish:Bunny

Thanks Rene, I was turned down by ins, my BMI is 43, my Dr. can't believe they turned me down I have had all of my testing as well now ins wants me to go thru a 6 week diet thru my family Dr. He said he will play there little game and see me every 2 weeks for this then we will send it back in to them. If that does not work I will look into other options. Thanks

Well I went to my family Dr. today which I have been to for the same thing app 5 month ago. My ins is giving me the run around, they now want me to go thru a weight program for 6 weeks with him. He said he will see me every 2 weeks and will play there game, he does not understand why they wont pay, that is insurance companies for you. Well I hope after this they will not give me the run around anymore. I thought about contacting obesitylaw.com I here they can help get it approved.Trish

Hi I live in spring city tn just 50 miles from chatt, I am trying to get my insurance co to pay for the surgery, I have seen Dr. Ponce, I half to go thru a 6 week diet program with a license physican before they will consider even paying I have an app tomorrow with my family Dr.

Has anyone used bandedlawyer.com or www.obesitylaw.com, did you have good results from them. I am trying to appeal my insurance company, and I am not sure who to use? Thanks Trish P.
