Hi there. My name is K and I'm on my weight loss journey, planning my surgery for gastric sleeve. I know my insurance has approved the surgery but the doctor's office hasn't called yet. I'm very anxious as I started this journy six months ago and really want to get this done! I have a good support group although I do wonder how many people just tell me what they think I want to hear. I'm about 100 lbs overweight and too look at me you wouldn't necessarily see that part of it. I get "You're not THAT big!" a lot so it's a little frustrating. I'm just staying focused on me and my goal to get control of my weight again.
 
I'm excited to have found this forum as I really need/want a support group of people who have been through the surgery and can help me know what to expect after surgery. I will update my information with my surgery date once I get it. I'm excited to meet people, hopefully in my area, that I can walk with and talk to. That would be the best part of all of this!
