I'm having surgery on April 6th at Celebration Hospital is Kissimmee, Florida and I'm extremely terrified. Was anyone this scared before surgery? Is this a normal feeling?

I'm a lot better, just sometimes feel very bloated. I'm actually getting ready to go to my one week follow up appointment now

It is very hard, I know how you feel. I've been told that it'll get better. I've been down too because I haven't lost any weight since surgery. Preop I lost 44lbs after surgery I gained 9 due to the liquids in my IV and now compared to others after their first week I haven't noticed much. I'm hoping my scale is just wrong

I noticed how a lot of doctors have different instructions. I haven't tried the powder in milk, but Silk makes a soy milk that has protein already in it, and I've been sipping on that here and there. I just don't like milk in general, but I'm trying with this one.

Yes I am finally home, I was allowed to leave Thursday night. I'm much better now, just a little pain here and there from gas and my incisions. The hardest part for me now is trying to find a liquid protein that my stomach can tolerate because I'm lactose intolerant and one that I'll actually drink. So far I haven't been getting much protein in which I know is really bad. Hopefully by Tuesday I can start on purée foods. How are you doing? Are you on Instagram?

They almost had to do an emergency surgery on me yesterday because I was feeling really sharp pains and couldn't stand or sit up without hunching over. After getting an X-ray and CT scan I was told that I could possibly have an obstruction. While moving me to the prep room I felt a lot of movement in my stomach and before you knew it I passed my first gas. The surgeon still wanted to watch me today to see how I felt and go my surprise I'll be going home tonight. After passing gases last night and pooping twice this morning, I feel much better than before. ????

Everything went well, just in a lot of pain but it gets easier everyday. Hopefully I can go home tonight

As the day gets closer the more scared I get, I even had a breakdown earlier today and just couldn't stop crying. I hope I'm making the right decision. The only part that really scares me is knowing that I could possible die ????
