    April 2015 Sleeve Accountability Group

Hey CrissyBat. I'm a April 1st sleever too. I can do 40 to 50 Oz of liquids on work days that includes a coffee with Protein powder added. I'm terrible with liquids at home. I'm having a hard time balancing times I can drink with meal times. I'm still kind of grazing. Tried some chili the other day, no bueno. I'm still trying to get the hang of this. How is everyone else doing?

    April 2015 Sleeve Accountability Group

Meal planning is still a work in progress for me. I only seem to be able to get either my liquid or my Protein in each day. Had a bit of a weight loss stall but am down 27lbs since surgery so I'm not complaining
  3. I'm having the same problem with water as well, it's so hard to get down and feels so heavy going down. Back to work for me tomorrow as well, dreading it only because of the fatigue aspect midday. We'll make it but it's going to be another challenge at an already full plate.. no pun intended
  4. No weird taste but I do feel like I have a brick in my throat. Trying to get liquids down without over filling... this is going to take a lot of practice. Gas pains have finally subsided for me, hopefully for you all as well.
  5. So sorry so many of us are in the same boat with the gas issue. I am having such a hard time getting fluids in as well. I'd kill for a Popsicle but was told nothing cold yet since it could cause stomach spasms...bummer.. Been trying to walk as much as I can handle to try and get the gas to dissolve. Keep your heads high, this will pass and we will all be better for it. Sorry to say this but I'm glad I'm not the only one dealing with this now but do hope everyone gets to feeling better asap!!!
  6. Sounds like everyone did pretty well overall through surgery. Great news! I had some major nausea issues. Poor nurses were trying everything. Thank goodness it finally subsided. Just got home today and trying to keep the fluids going...sip..sip..sip Keep up the good work everyone. Our path to a whole new future awaits
  7. I'm new here as well, first post and scheduled for surgery tomorrow. I find it funny that it ended up being on April Fool's day but it will be a date that's easily remembered... The nerves are growing as the day goes on.. I think I'm more nervous that my liver will be in ok shape even after following the pre surgery diet. I would hate to get all of this planned then have something like that cause a problem or stop the surgery from happening. Trying to keep the pessimist in me on the back burner but I plan for the worst and try to hope for the best. A cousin had the surgery almost 2 yrs ago and did really well. I made the decision so I can be healthier for myself and my daughter. It's a whole new life ahead of us..... Breathe.. :-) Good Luck to everyone. May your surgery be smooth and your recovery quick.
