  1. That's funny! Until like Friday I was sure my surgery was Wednesday (but still the 26th) every time my husband I even talked about planning for the week we wound up hugely frustrated and annoyed with each other.
  2. I am due at Admitting at 9:30 tomorrow morning. I'm scheduled for 11:45 but I imagine since I'm not first up it could be almost anytime in early afternoon. I am generally pretty OK with the surgery itself. I only had to liquid diet yesterday and today and yesterday morning my slight hunger and excitement were making lovely butterflies in my stomach and I felt almost high. Then the PEG 3350 (or "poop" medicine) sort of ruined that! Now I keep having waves of "This is crazy!" but still no worries over the surgery itself which is either confidence or lack of insight. Eh, I'll take it.

    1 night hospital stay?

    Oh man. Good luck!
  4. I'm still a little off, but all better. My last weigh in I had gone up .4 lbs which bummed me out because I had probably lost decently since the previous weigh-in but I was still holding all my fluids after being dehydrated for two days. My insurance referral status is still listed as pending. I check it every 20 minutes but no one said anything about any worries. (I just discovered the referral page in my chart accidentally anyway, everything has gone along this whole time without me looking once.) All I have to say is if I take all the "cleansing" medicine on Monday and show up Tuesday, this thing is on, so help me.
  5. I THINK I'm the 26th but I lost almost three days to a really bad stomach flu this week. Now I'm very concerned with everything I have to get done with the holiday coming up. And I'm worried I might be weird and bloated after being dehydrated and blow my steady preop loss.

    1 night hospital stay?

I'm still pre-op so I don't know REALLY anything about the pain/discomfort after surgery. But my last baby (a year ago tonight--heh!) it occurred to me how seriously awful hospitals are to rest in. The room was like a parade! I freaked when they even suggested keeping me another night. If you tolerate the liquid pain meds (maybe make sure of that before you leave?), home is almost always better. But, I don't know, maybe some hospitals are better at making you feel cared for.

    Sacramento CA?

Hey! I'm UC Davis and all of a sudden I'm looking at May26! I really thought they were going to put me off until late summer and now it's all tests and appointments all the time. (Still have the dang gum in my hair from last night's follow up sleep study.) Insurance pending but they seemed to think it won't be a problem with my carrier.
