Finally got my approval and my date! It will be May 27th with Keary Williams @ Turkey Creek. I go tomorrow for the 4 hour Nut class, and some labs, then more preop testing on the 5th and pre-registration etc.. Then I;ll start my 2 week diet on the 13th......It's getting real now!

I just got my date today and I am on the 27th as well, with Dr Keary Williams in Knoxville TN. It's been such a long road but I can finally see the home stretch!

I did it too. It was due to the fact that I only met the surgeon indirectly during the seminar. Also it was 3 hours away and going back and forth was killing me. I found out the office I originally wanted was now covered and simply switched. I had completed my insurance requirements but hadn't been submitted to insurance yet and they weren't going to until after I finally met with the surgeon 11 days from now. Meanwhile I alerted my insurance about changing, the new Dr has done all kinds of tests and labs and I just got insurance approval. I may have surgery before they would have even submitted my papers at the other dr. Not to mention they are so much nicer and more helpful.

I got a message from their office Friday saying I was approved. Then one right afterwards saying to disregard the previous email, as it was an error. That was a little frustrating. Should know soon though!

Hi there! My name is Michelle, I'm 43 and mom to one gorgeous little girl. I started my journey back in September and have completed the 6 month diet and other requirements for my insurance approval and am anxiously awaiting their decision! I am 5ft and started at 231 lbs but my weight has been as high as 246 but currently maintaining between 227 and 231. Between getting pregnant 8+ years ago and quitting smoking I have gained over 130 pounds. Tried so many ways to lose weight but finally admitted it was no use and made the decision to go for the sleeve. I can't wait to get my new life started.

Hi there! I am from Greeneville and will (hopefully) be having my surgery with Dr. K. Robert Williams (New Life) in Knoxville soon. They were submitting all my paperwork to insurance today so I have my fingers crossed!
