If you like milk go to the milk section of Walmart and buy the fair life milk. Has 19 grams of protein per serving. Tastes just like milk so you don't have to try to find a decent tasting protein drink.
  2. I'm about two weeks post op sleeve. Dr told me to start working in soft foods and purees so yesterday I had some mashed potatoes then a few hours later some cottage cheese. Later that night my stomach started hurting and now this morning it's hard for me to get anything in without it hurting. Mainly water. Does anyone know why this is happening? Should I be really concerned?
  3. Is it normal to feel a sharp pain in your chest when drinking? It's almost like the fluids I take in push out air and makes my chest really tight and hurt really bad. Is this normal? If so how long did it take to stop hurting like that?

    Isopure drinks

The orange one is amazing. There is a lot of protein in it so it makes your mouth feel a little dried out. But I usually get a big cup and pour half of it full of water then mix in some of the drink. Still tastes really good just a lot less intense. Plus your body can only process 20 grams of protein every few hours anyway. So watering it down is definitely the way to go.
  6. Lay night was my first night home after surgery. Tried sleeping in my bed but woke up a few hours later in pretty crazy soreness so I moved to the couch and slept in an elevated position. My neck and back kinda hate me but my stomach wasn't really sore when I woke up and I was able to sleep longer. I wish I had a recliner. I feel like that would work wonderfully

    Pre op nerves

Thanks everyone. After reading all your replies I feel a little better and less stressed. ????
  8. I'm two weeks today away from my surgery date. I am so nervous it makes me sick to my stomach. I can't shake the bad feelings. I'm so proud and excited with what I have accomplished so far and am so excited to see the end results but I am so scared to be put to sleep. I keep thinking like what if I don't wake up?

    No respect from family.

I would be pretty upset. I am at the very end of my pre surgery steps and will be having surgery within the month. I have not told anyone I'm my family or any of my friends. The only people that know are me, my husband, and my doctors. I'm just trying to avoid all the negative comments and rude remarks.
