  2. I do not want to adult today, i just want to go back to my comfortable bed. The only thing that could make today better is if TWD came back on tonight. I'm ready to see who got to meet Lucille! Can it be October yet? lol

    Which blender should I get?

I love my "THAT" kind too!
  9. I stepped onto the scales this morning and finally reached the milestone that I was begining to think would never come-ONEDERLAND! Do I have loose, saggy skin? You bet! But I would take that any day of the week over fat filled skin. There is a surgery to help correct that just like there was a surgery to help me get to where I am today. To finally see that number makes me feel even more determined to reach my goal and to maintain that for the rest of my life. So very grateful for my sleeve! Happy Monday everyone:)

What was the longest stall you had?

I am in my current longest stall. Going on 7.5 weeks now, I will be 8 months post op 9/7. I am trying to amp up my workout and also change things up a bit to once and for all kick it's as$ until the next one lol.
  11. I believe I will treat myself to a nice hot bubble bath, it's been a long day.

I hear ya! I'm not cleared for hot baths until next Thurs---after skin surgery. I can't wait. A hot bath does wonders for body and soul. Enjoy!!!

@Valentina How exciting to have skin surgery! I hope everything turned out well and you are happy with the results. Yes the long hot bath definitely does wonders for the soul. I felt much better afterwards and slept like a baby! I hope you continue to heal and Thursday will be here before you know it.

@proudgrammy hubby will not do a bath but he will do showers and those are nice too;)

    Emotional

@AudreyDarling I have PCOS too, and I know all too well how hard it is to lose weight. I feel like all I had to do was look at carbs and I would gain ten pounds easily. No joke. I am 7 months out from VSG and I have lost 97 pounds since surgery and 108 pounds since I started my journey. As long as you stick to your surgeon and NUT's plan you will be successful! Work out as much as you can when you are allowed to do so. This tool works, as long as you use it correctly. Good Luck to you!
  13. I have been stalled for 6 weeks now, and I'm starting to get impatient. It's hard to embrace the stall when onderland is so close! The last 34 pounds are going to be the hardest. If anyone has any suggestions, I will gladly take them:)

    1. Dub

      Dub

I've been stalled a bit, too.

I don't believe in embracing stalls. So sick of seeing that term thrown around like, "Here, here Dear....sorry you are stalling,....have some warm cookies and a glass of chocolate milk and embrace the stall". I'm sure it's not intended like that....but it's how it hits me at times.

As soon as the knees give me a break the cardio will be revisited hardcore. I'm certain this will git'r'dun.

There is no doubt about it.....these last pounds are coming off much slower than I thought they would, too. My one year runs out in 7 weeks and i've gotta ways to go. Gotta hammer down.

I wish I had better advice.....I'm rowing the same boat it would seem.

@Dub I have a hard time with that phrase too. I don't believe in sugar coating things, put forth the work and you will be rewarded. I feel as though I put forth the work, I guess that's why I have a hard time with the stall. Maybe it's time to shake things up and try something new.

Can't believe you are at approaching the one year mark already! Time has definitely flew by. Hang in there, keep rowing, your determination and grit will see you through.

Now, lets get busy and go kick these last few pounds arse!

@Dub I bought their banana flavor too, just haven't tried it yet. I remember being pre op and read a post of yours that you liked that brand....it was probably the only brand that I hadn't tried. So thanks to you I am a premier girl lol. Peaches and cream could be their next great flavor. You should suggest that!"

Workout routine update - vanity or helpful?

Thanks for your help as usual @@BigViffer tomorrow morning I will start with the weights first. Maybe if I do end up looking ignorant one of the nice beefcakes will help me out

Workout routine update - vanity or helpful?

@BigViffer--First I know I am not a guy but, I just wanted to share my thoughts. You were going to get them either way I say helpful, if you do decide to do the videos please share them. When I go to the gym, I always hop on the elliptical (by the way I cannot say that word out loud only in my head...I'm a weirdo) first. I'm still a little self conscious going to the gym so I wait until the beefcakes get out of there before I mess around with the weights. I mostly do leg presses and the ab machine. I do want to start working more on my arms and core though, but I am afraid of looking like an as$. So if you do decide to do them, don't forget to share the love

    Sex Drive Increase?

Yes, most definitely. Personally, before surgery it wasn't low, but since surgery it's extremely high. No one is complaining either

What made you get a tat?

I have one tattoo on the top of my foot. It is a purple ribbon with my nephew's name in cursive. I will be adding my niece's name to it soon. They both have Cystic Fibrosis, it's my way of honoring them and to keep in focus that all life is precious. I want more, three more to be exact.
