Holy Vitamins, Batman!
tereasa7 replied to Soon_To_Be_Slimmer's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I take the celebrate vitamins and I love them all! The multi I use is chewable in the grape flavor and very yummy. I look forward to taking my vitamins everyday! I take the calcium that you swallow. It's a little large but if I end up having a problem swallowing it I cut it in half with a pill cutter. I also have the chewable calcium that I don't care for. It's too chalky for me and I have a hard time getting it down. The iron is small enough that I can swallow it easily. I've added vitamin D too and it's the type that melts and it doesn't taste bad at all either. -
Biotin doesn't prevent the hair loss, but it helps with new hair growth. I lost lots of hair and there really isn't anything you can do about it but take your vitamins and biotin to help new hair grow.

Severe pain 8 days post op
tereasa7 replied to jeannbe1's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had pain on my left side too from the incision. I don't remember my back hurting though, but I did have a lot of trapped gas too and that was more painful than my incision. -
My fitness pal. You can set reminders to notify you when to eat. This helps me even still since I don't ever feel hungry.

GasX strips helped me! They dissolve on your tongue.

HELP 4 DAYS POST OP
tereasa7 replied to Skinny Steps's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I had the same issue when I had my surgery last May. That is incision where to put the biggest tool so it's going to be sore. I had to hold that side for a while when walking around. It's been 20 months and I still get sore there and pull that muscle easily. It took longer to heal too. -

I love premier protein but it took me a while after my surgery to be able to drink them again. It just didn't taste the same. I also make my own protein shake. 6oz of all egg whites (by them in the egg section in a small carton) 6oz of Mootopia skim milk (at HEB. If you don't have an HEB, any skim milk will do) and 2 Tblsp of chocolate nestle powder no sugar added. It's approx 30 grams of protein. You can't taste the egg. It tasks just like chocolate milk.
